We cannot say enough amazing things about Shawn!! From the moment we met him, my husband and I knew this would be an awesome partnership. Shawn was so kind and quick to accept our music requests. We wanted to start out with family friendly “classic” wedding music and then transition into true club music with lots of fading between songs. We were blown away with how he completely understood the assignment!! He really has a passion for music and DJing and we were lucky to have him at our rave in the woods.

We had a fairly spread out venue with our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and dance floor all in different places. I was really concerned with how Shawn would navigate this but he was so professional and easy and ended up setting up his equipment in two different spots!! It was perfect and really was such a relief.

Not only was Shawn professional and talented, but he was also such a fun guy to have around!! Our guests absolutely loved him. They’re all still talking about “Sexy Shawn: dopest DJ in the PNW”

Our wedding reception was awesome and we really owe it to Shawn for giving 110% effort and throwing us a damn good party at an incredibly reasonable rate.

We worked with them recently as their micro Day of Coordination team. They were very nice, quick to respond via email (COMMUNICATION is BIG in our book), incredibly fast setting up, and calm under pressure. There were some major issues day of, and they didn’t once complain. They were just asking “ How can I help?” or “How can we adjust?” “Do you need us to stall for like 20 minutes?” We have never worked with the team from Groove on Hyde Street before and we so pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism that they have. Our couple had DJ David H. He not only went above and beyond to find Ukrainian/ Polish/ current non English world music for the couple- he confidently mixed it into rotation. The sound was solid for speeches, amped up at the correct moments, guests of all ages enjoyed themselves and our team was very impressed. Kept our 32 guest micro wedding on the dance floor for hours. 10 out of 10 will refer DJ David H. and the incredible team at Groove on Hyde Street to any of our couples.

Artem was AMAZING! He was responsive, easy to work with, professional and made sure to keep the day going smoothly. He also kept the hits coming, seamlessly played our requested ceremony and cocktail playlists and overall was a joy to work with. I would recommend Groove on Hyde Street to anyone who wants their wedding day to run perfectly. Artem was a superstar!! Thank you Groove!!!
