Where do I start? Everything about our experience hosting our wedding at Bournedale was perfect.

We had the difficult task of planning a wedding from out of state. We had to look at venues online and try to gauge from reviews and pictures what the experience might be like. A friend from high school had her wedding at Bournedale and highly recommended it, so I had my sister go take a tour and FaceTime us. From that moment on, we felt blessed to have found Bournedale - and that feeling has only grown throughout the planning process and now as we reflect on our amazing wedding.

Every aspect of Bournedale is perfect:
+ The location? GORGEOUS in all seasons. We got married in November and even with bare trees, it felt like a magical location on the lake.

+ The value? Insane. I'm still sort of in shock at the experience we had for what we paid. Bournedale was the most affordable location in the area and it offered a million more things for that price.

+ The coordinator, Darin? Invaluable. He absolutely made the day. I can't say enough about my appreciation and love for Darin. He is MEANT for this kind of work. He has a calm, relaxed demeanor and yet has every little detail 100% covered. He is thoughtful, honest, and kind, and I was so, so grateful to be able to work with him for this wedding.

+ The food? Insanely good. Like, actually. I know people always say how they had people tell them the food was good afterwards, but my friends are RAVING. Everything was perfect and delicious and like a meal you would have at a really nice restaurant. The variety was awesome, and the chef is just the sweetest person. He accommodated not just your regular dietary restrictions but more unique ones with a smile, making every single one of our guests feel welcome. I ate at the wedding (Darin and Robin, another coordinator, made sure we did!!), and I still regret not eating more haha!

+ The experience? Where else can you have a beautiful ceremony on a lake, cocktail hour, an incredible dinner, super fun dancing, a bonfire with marshmallow roasting, an afterparty, AND brunch?! I can't tell you how much fun this was. I've never been to another wedding like it. I was pretty overwhelmed by the prospect of a wedding, and this actually made it so much better - we had so many opportunities to connect with our friends and family in a relaxed way, and there was much less pressure knowing we'd see folks at the afterparty and at brunch. Most of our guests were from out of town, and if this is true for you, you absolutely need to pick Bournedale.

+ The staff? Genuinely kind, wonderful, helpful, loving people - every last one. It truly feels like a family-run establishment. Everyone from Arnie, the owner, to the coordinators, to the kitchen staff, to the great guys who drove us around in golf carts all night long were just the sweetest, loveliest people. I can't express my gratitude to them all enough for making us feel so welcomed and supported.

Truly, there is nowhere else like Bournedale. I can't express how over the moon I am with the experience we had there. It's hard to imagine why anyone in Massachusetts or the surrounding area would ever plan a wedding anywhere else when Bournedale is an option. I am going to cherish my time there forever -- my now husband and I are already planning to send our future kids to camp there and want to rent it out again in the future for an anniversary or family celebration!

We both have big families and children and we wanted a space for people to move around. I couldn’t have asked for better. The food was fantastic and the staff were beyond supportive. We had a bonfire at night and a great breakfast the next day.

Darin Wendy and their team are absolutely incredible. The wedding was everything I could have ask for. I wish I could do it all over again.

Having our wedding at Bournedale Function Facility was everything we wanted for our wedding and more. This wedding venue is for people that want to have fun! We had over 80 guests stay over in the cabins and many people stayed up into the early hours of the morning playing games in the gym and acting like kids. The gym, game room and fire pit were some of the many highlights from our wedding. Lastly, it was heavily raining on the day of our wedding but the Bournedale staff adjusted and accommodated us so smoothly. Darin and his staff picked up the wedding party by van to not get wet and seamlessly turned the dance floor into the ceremony and cocktail hour space. I wish we could celebrate our one year anniversary with a another weekend at Bournedale!

Darin and Wendy at the BFF are so easy to work with! They responded to every email quickly, let us come visit a few times, and eased our minds in the planning of our wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Darin and Wendy were so accommodating to our guests and even more so to us! They went above and beyond ensuring that my husband and I were happy with how everything was going.
The food is delicious and there are so many options! Not only is the location gorgeous outside, but the building can be transformed to exactly as you want!

Bournedale was the dream venue I didn’t know I needed! They had everything we could have possibly wanted for our wedding! Places for guests to stay over, amazing food, on the water, and bonfire after party were some of our top wants and we got them all and then some! Our guests raved about the food and view, and the atmosphere. The staff were so friendly, and organized, planning was a breeze and you really get a bang for your buck! Thank you again Bournedale, Wendy and Darin, this was the wedding of our dreams!

Had our wedding here on September 8, 2023. Darin and the entire staff at Bournedale were a complete dream to work with! They really go above and beyond for their couples. Darin has such a calming and professional demeanor that could put any bride at ease on her wedding day. The golf cart transportation from place to place was a real hit with our guests, particularly the ones with accessibility needs. Everyone absolutely loved the pontoon boat rides during cocktail hour, and the food was top notch. The cherry on top was when the catering staff made up doggy bags of leftover dinner (and breakfast) for my Dog of Honor back in her cabin. So thoughtful!! I wish I could get re-married there once a year, just to enjoy everything all over again!

We got married at Camp Bournedale on September 29th and it was the perfect day that went better than we could’ve ever hoped for. Darin and Wendy did a tremendous job of balancing our concerns with the weather, getting our ceremony in just before it started to rain, and overall putting together an incredible wedding for us. The ceremony is in a beautiful, peaceful spot overlooking the water which was perfect for some of our wedding photos. The reception hall is just a few steps away which adds so much ease for the guests. All our guests loved the location as well. People couldn’t stop talking about the food, with some saying it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. The food stations were a big hit. We recommend the mac and cheese bar but you can’t go wrong with any of Juerg’s offerings. The staff made us feel so loved and cared for! They brought us food and drinks all night and kept checking in with us throughout the night to make sure we were having a good time. They did their best to try and make the firepit happen for us but the rain didn’t cooperate. The afterparty in the rec center was so much fun! It actually made us happy that it rained! Watching our guests being kids again playing dodgeball, pool, arcade games, and playing with a huge parachute put a perfect ending on the night. Darin and Wendy are very easygoing and easy to work with, answering any and all of our questions before the big day. They were amazing at keeping us relaxed on the day of the wedding and handled everything perfectly. The ability to have our friends and family stay the night with us in the cabins added that little something special to our wedding experience. We could not recommend Bournedale any higher to couples considering it for their wedding!! Weeks later our friends and family are still talking about how fun our wedding was. Thank you so much Bournedale staff for helping us have such an unforgettable wedding day!

We came upon Bournedale Function Facility through a Facebook group after we already had a contract and contingent date set with another venue. We visited Bournedale because we had cold feet about the price of the other venue for what we are getting. Bournedale ended up blowing us away from our first visit. Darin and his team were very professional and you could tell they knew what they were doing. Darin was extremely upfront and a straight shooter about all the costs involved and teh best way to do things, which we really appreciated. Unlike other vendors who have a base price and then tack on 28% of additional fees and taxes, Bournedale has straightforward per pricing pricing with no venue, cake cutting, or additional random fees. We also loved how open they were to allowing us to bring in other vendors to make our day perfect. We wanted a raw bar but Darin, instead of trying to nickel and dime us by charging a per person price, admitted they would not be the best provider for us and recommended we bring in Island Creek Oysters who would charge us by the piece and do all the serving. We were also able to bring in Del's Lemonade and got a recommendation for the after party food and a special deal they had with a local restaurant for pizza delivery. Darin and Wendy were always prompt in answering our questions through the planning process and when it came to day of they knocked it out of the park. We were able to deliver all our decorations a few days before so that day of the staff set everything up for us and we didn't need to worry about it or hire a day of coordinator. They kept the day running smoothly from a last minute move of the ceremony outside when the pouring rain broke, to getting the cocktail hour going, transitioning to speeches / cake cutting, dancing, and then moving to the after party. We felt that we were in great hands with Darin and he really helped us figure out how the day should run, without him we would have been flailing around and logistics would have been a nightmare. Even though our day got almost totally washed out, it was super fun and memorable. Our guests loved the food from Bournedale and the convenience of being able to stay onsite, right next to the venue with the ability to walk or get a golf cart ride from the staff made the day absolutely perfect. We are so glad we chose Bournedale and would recommend them 100x times over. Great value, great staff, great food, great venue, beautiful pictures, and a perfect day!

This is a picturesque lakeside venue with options for an outdoor or indoor ceremony. They had a wide selection of linens, great options for seating at the ceremony and at the reception. Darin and the entire staff and chef were great to work with! Very available, knowledgeable about vendors in the area and SO helpful. They took excellent care of us and all our guests.

The cabins and cottages are rustic, nothing fancy but clean, organized and stocked with towels and body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

We highly recommend this organization!
