Following much research and emails we flew to Italy to visit Andrea at the Borgo. Right from the outset he was responsive, informative, helpful, Friendly and professional. He listened to us and guided us through the destination wedding experience. Our wedding day for us was like living a dream, a fairytale. The setting is incredible, like a film set. The food was incredible (we have been to the Borgo several times and the food is always exquisite) the rooms are beautiful and spotless and the staff are fabulous. We would highly recommend this hotel for weddings or indeed any event.

A special mention: If Andrea is helping to organise your wedding, or other event, your only regret will be when the day is over. He is a master at planning and organisation. As well as being patient, kind and a great listener. You will surely get the day you want.

We recently hosted a party to celebrate our wedding at Borgo Petroro, and everything was absolutely perfect. The attention to detail was spot on, and Andrea, the manager, was attentive from start to finish. He took an exceptional amount of time to really understand what we wanted and his team worked tirelessly to deliver it seamlessly. Our guests were blown away — we’ve been inundated with messages of thanks, and everyone commented on how special the entire weekend felt. We couldn’t have asked for a more memorable celebration, and we’ll treasure these memories for years to come.

Our daughter and son in law held their wedding reception at Borgo Petroro. The whole event was wonderful, as confirmed by our many messages of thanks following the event, all of which referred to the charm of the location.

We got married in Borgo Petroro in September 2024.
We were satisfied in all aspects.
First of all, the place is wonderful and until you get there personally it is hard to imagine its beauty: everything is very well cared for in every detail.
All the staff were very professional and careful with our requests, even coming to satisfy us at the last minute with weather-related changes of schedule.
Another thing we really appreciated was the food: everything was really delicious and in the right proportions.
All our guests confirmed our feelings.
We have already booked for next year's anniversary! :)

We held our wedding here in June 2025. While the venue itself is beautiful, our experience with the pizza party was deeply disappointing.

Our signed contract explicitly stated a pizza party with “ancient oven handmade pizza” – one of the highlights we envisioned for our Italian wedding, and a key reason behind the premium price we paid. However, on the actual day, what was served bore no resemblance to this promise: it was a self-service buffet of bread with toppings, without live cooking, without handmade preparation, served cold and far below both our expectations and the contractual standard. This was not only disappointing for us but also for our guests, and it took away from the “dream wedding in Italy” experience that we had carefully planned.

When we raised our concerns afterwards, the management’s response was defensive. No fair solution was offered. The manager even attempted to shift the blame by claiming the outcome was due to us requesting a change of location – which is completely untrue. Furthermore, he tried to use our appreciation of his team’s efforts as a way to deflect responsibility. This response felt highly unprofessional and only deepened our disappointment in what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Advice to future couples:

- Even if something is written in the contract (such as “handmade pizza in ancient oven”), do not assume it will be delivered as promised. Verify every detail directly.

- Be cautious with the “pizza party” – it may not resemble the authentic experience presented in their promotions.

Every couple deserves honesty and professionalism for their wedding day. If necessary, we are prepared to pursue legal means to protect our rights.
