I booked a bridal consultation with Jessie at the Wellesley Blush location. As a newbie to spray tanning, I did my research beforehand and booked my first visit about a month out from my wedding. I was a bit nervous about getting a spray tan for my wedding, only because my first ever spray tan experience was with another company with less than stellar results. With Blush Tan, you have no reason to be nervous! Jessie took the time to talk about what I was looking for, asked questions, made suggestions based on my answers, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. She documented notes in my profile so that when I came in for my wedding tan we would know exactly what was done and could make adjustments as needed based on my feedback. My tan turned out awesome both times - for my wedding day, based on my feedback I went a little bit lighter by showering earlier and I think it looked amazing. The only drawback was that by the end of the night (after major dancing and sweating), I did have a little orange on the top edge of my dress under my arms so my recommendation to brides would be to go a day earlier (I went Thursday afternoon before my Saturday wedding - would recommend Wednesday night for a Saturday wedding). Definitely do the consult (at least 2-3 weeks out from your wedding day) so that you can get the best color for you. It is a bit expensive...probably not something I would be able to splurge for on the regular, but the service and results are totally worth it! Price wise, it is competitive with other salons, and there is a discount for wedding consultations (and Jessie told me how to get a discount for my next visit). I have since also been to the Westboro location before a trip, and was sprayed by Heather who was amazing - the rooms are spacious and clean and she had everything neatly laid out for me, took her time and did a great job. Let me start by saying that I came in for a couple trials prior to my wedding, to coordinate with different events. Once before I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding, and once before a trip to San Diego. I realized through these trials that I prefer to have TWO coats of tanning solution.

On my final trip to Blush the day before my wedding, the owner sprayed me. She insisted that she would put on a THICK coat of the tanning solution and that it would be the same as having two coats. Let me tell you, she was wrong. I was totally not tan on my wedding day. (Let me also add that while my bridal party was there, they had another customer coming in for a re-spray because she didn't see results after her visit the night before). Now when I look at my wedding photos, I cringe at how pale I was. I am shocked that she was too lazy to do a second coat for the most important day of my life.
