Amy realized she wanted to be an Event Planner in 2003. Her first event, was her mother's 50th birthday party, knowing then there was no looking back. She has an eye for detail and organization that she brings to every event.
She received her Associate's Degree from Illinois Central College in 2008 focusing on Interior Design. In 2009, she became a Certified Bridal Consultant through Penn Foster College. The month she became Certified, she coordinated her first wedding hasn't stopped since.
In 2010, Amy met her best friend, Hallie, who has helped build this career every step of the way. Hallie and Amy tied the knot themselves on October 12, 2013.
Hallie has done a little bit of everything with Blue Orchid Event Planning since meeting Amy in 2010. She currently does the backend marketing and design work to keep a cohesive look.
Hallie is also the Co-Host/Editor for Slash Sisters, a YouTube Channel that reviews horror movies. In Hallie's free time, you can find her video gaming, watching movies, and busting ghosts with the Central Illinois Ghostbusters.
Heather has spent most of her life in customer service & ensuring that every interaction she has with someone is a positive, memorable one. She loves planning parties, hosting events & bringing people together for special, celebrated occasions. She is a people person & doesn’t know a stranger!
Heather absolutely loves weddings & enjoys being part of every single moment. From the tiniest detail, she cares about it being just absolutely perfect! She is comfortable being “bossy” when the role calls for it & understands the importance of ensuring that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life! Heather is so proud to be part of Blue Orchid Event Planning & enjoys partnering right alongside of Amy & her dedicated team. We are a passionate bunch & it is a privilege to be part of your special event!
She shares her life with her husband of 30+ years & their son, Samuel. They have been local to the Peoria area since the early 90’s & enjoy life to the fullest!
