So Worth it!
We truly cannot say enough good things about Blue Orchid Event Planning—especially Heather. From start to finish, she did everything we needed her to do and then some. Heather kept our wedding day running smoothly, handled every detail with professionalism and calm, and anticipated needs we didn’t even know we had. Because of her, we were able to fully relax and truly enjoy our day without worrying about timelines, vendors, or last-minute issues. Her organization, kindness, and dedication made such a difference in our wedding day, and we are so grateful to have had her by our side. Amazing and Delightful Wedding Planning Experience
Michael and I were extremely nervous about the prospect of getting married and how that would look. Amy at Blue Orchid Event Planning eased our anxieties over the course of the last year and presented sensible and elegant options that we could work with. Amy had a plethora of options for everything we thought of as well as didn’t think of yet. Our wedding on June 21, 2025, was amazingly beautiful and one that will be cemented in our hearts forever. I sincerely doubt we would have as good of an event without their expertise. Day of assistance was equally invaluable. Any snag for that occurred was quickly remedied by the team. We could not recommend Blue Orchid any more for any planned event. -

Five Stars Not Enough!
We are so pleased with the service we got from Amy and from Heather on the day of! They are truly an amazing team! It was so comforting to talk to Amy during the planning process to help us think through pieces we hadn’t organized. All we had to do was CC her on vendor emails and our timeline came together seamlessly and on the day of the wedding and the rehearsal Heather truly went above and beyond she helped set up the space, fielded phone calls from us, made sure we had food and water throughout the day, took pictures and videos from every angle which was so unexpected but unbelievably sweet - I’m talking like 140 pictures came to our phone the next morning! Incredible! The goal of a coordinator is to stress less and that happened for sure - but also we felt so cared for and supported! What an amazing vendor. HIRE THEM NOW!! -

Friendly, Helpful, Knowledgeable, and Accommodating
We were in a unique situation because we didn't know the Peoria area very well, so we purchased the partial wedding package. Amy was extremely knowledgeable about the area, and helped us find exactly what we were looking for! She really listened to our vision (we didn't want a traditional wedding, more of a backyard bbq vibe) and gave us lots of options for all aspects of the wedding. She went above and beyond, helping us think through all aspects of the wedding and stay on track with planning. She even helped us find a photographer that was within our budget! We were thrilled with the outcome, our wedding turned out exactly how we wanted it! And on the day of her wedding, Heather did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't have made the day as special as it was without Amy and her team. -

Hands down, the best!
Amy, Hallie and Sarah saved my day! I found them to be so kind and helpful with everything from start to finish. In my professional life I bear “planner” as part of my job title. I am definitely NOT a wedding planner! I hired the team for a full planning package and was not disappointed at all. They helped with scheduling, invitations to whom and when, vendors and everything in between. Our day went off without a hitch and the made everything so simple. Money well invested, for sure! -

Superb Day-Of Coordinators!
Amy & her wife Hallie were fantastic!! Amy worked with us as a day-of coordinator and helped me so much with things like the timeline and just making sure I hadn't dropped or overlooked anything. On the day of she & Hallie kept things running smoothly and helped to set up the decorations in the morning (we couldn't get into the venue until the morning of the wedding). They were both so kind & helpful and I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders knowing that Amy & Hallie had our backs. -

Wedding Planning to Day of Wedding!
We had such an amazing wedding experience from planning to "day of" with Blue Orchid Event Planning! Amy helped us out so much with keeping myself and everything on track with planning for our wedding and during our wedding day! She has such a wealth of knowledge, from what needs to be decided on when to having lists of so many vendors and companies to use for any aspect we may have wanted/needed for our Big Day! She made the whole process of planning for our wedding so smooth, she saved me mentally! She also has a couple of wonderful Women that helped with set up and day of coordination of everything keeping us on track for our timeline of the day! You CANNOT beat what you get from Blue Orchid Event Planning for what they charge! Thank you again for making Our Day just such an amazing one! -

Highly recommend
Amy is so great to work with! She is very personable, professional, and knowledgeable! We live out of state and I really don’t know what we would have done without Amy’s help! She made the wedding planning experience go so smooth. Also, Amy and Hallie both made the wedding day run so smooth, which helped keep the stress level low! Hiring Amy as our day-of coordinator was honestly the best decision we could have made for our wedding! I first contacted her about four months before the wedding and she was so accommodating and easy-going from the very start. In the months and weeks leading up to the big day, she kept in touch and was quick to respond to any questions we had. She provided invaluable help, reminders, and suggestions to bring our vision to life, and the timeline she created was seamless.
I didn't have a single worry the day-of thanks to Amy and Nicola. They were both so accommodating and on top of everything the entire day - from stopping by the hotel that morning, to setting up the sweetheart and photo tables, to generously staying late to help with cleanup. Amy is a true, experienced professional and can roll with whatever hiccups the day has in store for her. We could not have done it without her! -

Amy was fabulous to work with leading up to the wedding. We hired her for a day of coordinator. We met on several occasions to go over the timeline for the day and discuss what I needed for her to do. She came to the rehearsal to be sure she knew the flow of the ceremony and what I needed for her to do for decorating the church the morning of our ceremony. Her and her husband were constantly checking in with us throughout our wedding day and at the reception to see if we needed anything. They were a fantastic help and I knew I didn't need to worry about anything because they were there. -

I was looking for someone who was flexible and easy going to help with the stress that comes with making sure your wedding turns out perfect. I never knew how much stuff I would actually forget, or things I would need to have the day of that I did not think about before! Amy was awesome! She was on top of everything from start to finish the day of the wedding. She helped with the timeline for the day of, running all the way back to town because I forgot my husbands gift, to getting our hungry bridal party gondolas to make it through the ceremony; they even stayed late to help us tear down the reception! You cannot beat the price for the amazing service Amy and her husband provide! I would absolutely recommend these two for your wedding day!! -
