I'm the type of person that needs to research everything before making a decision, so I compared so many different photographers before choosing one. Alyssa was by far the best quality/value, so I knew she was going to be good but she EXCEEDED my expectations. Not only are our photos absolutely phenomenal but she was so easygoing to work with. I can't imagine having our photos done by anyone else, she is the best and I can't praise or recommend her enough.

When searching for a photographer to capture our big day, I wanted someone who focused more on the candid moments of the day and less on the posed, awkward, what-do-I-do-with-my-hands moments.

My fiancee and I booked Alyssa to shoot our engagement session in the Portsmouth area this Spring. We were new to the area and knew that we wanted to hire a good photographer to capture our session perfectly at our favorite new spot-- the beaches in Rye. Alyssa was so accomodating, responsive, helpful and professional. We immediately knew we picked the best! My fiancee and I are both camera shy and Alyssa made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. From the very first picture she made the session feel easy for us, and she even ventured into freezing waters and onto coastal rocks to get some shots. That's how you know a photographer cares! My fiancé and I hired Alyssa from Blue Locket Studios to do an engagement photo shoot recently, and we couldn't have been happier with our photos! First of all, she was really pleasant to work with and we immediately felt comfortable around her. She captured so many honest candid shots of us that didn't look posed, which we loved. Her photos looked natural, detailed and professional, and we absolutely love them all. We're getting married in our home state of NJ, so we won't have the pleasure of working with her on our wedding day, but if you're looking for a great photographer to capture your wedding (or anything else) I highly recommend Blue Locket Studios!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Alyssa throughout our engagement and during our wedding a few weeks ago. We meet Alyssa last fall for our engagement shoot and from that moment on, we knew we were in VERY good hands. During the session, she knew exactly which poses we should make, where to go for optimal lighting, etc.. The engagement photos turned out so beautiful (I used them for so many different things including our wedding guest book!). On our wedding day, Alyssa was there for the entire day and made sure to capture every moment. From detail photos, to bridal party, to photos of the ceremony, then formal photos and finally the reception photos, Alyssa didn't miss a beat. She was so poised and genuine and made everyone calm (especially me!) and comfortable throughout the day. In addition to being a great person to work with, Alyssa is extremely gifted. Our photos again turned out so beautiful. We received so many compliments from family and friends! And most importantly, my husband and I loved them. What was most special about Alyssa's work is that she captured so many of the different emotions during our special day. Looking at our photos is like reliving our wedding over and over again. In short, if you are looking for a great photographer with a wonderful personality and an incredible photography gift, look no further!

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Alyssa capture our recent wedding. We were completely in awe with how amazing our photos came out but it was no surprise since our engagement photos were so beautiful. Alyssa and her assistant were there for the entire wedding day and helped with so many little things as well, like helping me walk around and take off my veil. Alyssa captured so many gorgeous moments that we would have missed and wonderful memories that we can look at forever. She was literally everywhere throughout our wedding. I can't believe she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera or make us look so good. She was also quick with every response throughout the wedding planning process. My husband and I are so lucky that Alyssa was there to capture our engagement and wedding photos. She was available every step of the way, including being happy to meet prior to the wedding. Her assistant Samantha was always prepared with anything any of us might need. Alyssa was with us getting ready, multiple couple's photos locations, the ceremony, cocktail hour, sunset photos, dinner, dancing, and the sparkler exit. She was truly a part of our wedding and worked tirelessly to keep us looking fresh and energized! Alyssa has a very calming personality and helped us stay flexible as the day progressed.

She surprised us with a large number of photos throughout the day edited into a highlight video just a week after the wedding. The rest of our wedding album was spectacular. It was easy to see the beauty of the day and excitement from our guests. We feel that our personal photos truly captured us as a couple.

Alyssa was a pleasure to work with. She came to our rehearsal to check out the venue and came fully prepared for any weather/lighting issues the day of. She was early and even stayed a bit late. She captured some of the most amazing moments of our day and we were incredibly happy with her work. She was very flexible and had great ideas. I'm not a very photogenic person but felt completely at ease in front if Alyssa's camera. We received our album and USB in the mail a week after we got back from our honeymoon. Highly recommend her!!
