was a very quiet and intimate wedding that was perfect for us. I loved the cabin that we stayed in. Was just like an old farm house that my grandparents own out in the hill country which made us feel right at home.

Communication with owner Carol and making our elopement for just the two of us package date was simple. She was able to make it happened within a month and half to spare. She answered all of our questions within a timely manner and elaborated details very well.
We chose this location because we wanted to experience something new. We drove from far west Texas to get here...The experience overall was outstanding, weather definitely is different, super cute location, secluded, cute farm animals can be seen across the area. We went during middle end of April, so definitely expect unpredictable weather. It's nature so there is a lot of bugs and frogs croaking at night time. Which didn't bother us at all. My wedding bouquet was super beautiful along with matching boutonniere, which was nicely delivered during our stay, few hours prior to wedding. Surprisingly our wedding day and time was perfect nearing sunset at the Gazebo near enchanted lake. Carol is super sweet, professional and was also our officiant on our special day. Skeeter was also available and present for photography, he made the experience super fun and coached us well. Awaiting on our photos, which not in any rush. Skeeter states will receive USB drive full of photos, and some print outs via mail delivery within a week.
The mini wedding cake and champagne was so delish! We stayed 2 nights at luxe RV by the lake and honestly our first experience in an RV ever. We aren't picky, and we as a couple, now newly weds take in things as we go. The area had a hot tub, working grill, inside RV was cozy, went old school and watched movies via DVD. There is internet for an extra fee, but we didn't utilize that.
We opted out in the meals and brought our own ingredients to make our own home cooked meals to enjoy. The RV had available cook ware. We have no complaints.Definitely give this area 5 stars overall. Will consider coming back in the future. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience.

We are so happy we chose Blisswood as our wedding venue. Not only was the property beautiful and ideal to create a whole weekend of celebrating with their onsite cabins and activities, but the entire team at Blisswood were so kind and easy to work with. We will definitely be back to visit!

Highly recommend! We just got married at Blisswood & it was perfect down to every detail. It is a beautiful ranch & we enjoyed the Hideaway Cabin. Very well maintained.

Blisswood Bed & Breakfast was absolutely perfect. They were accommodating, friendly, and very communicative. The ranch and Gazebo at the lake was beautiful. Our unique cabin had everything we need for a blissful honeymoon. Everything we added on was self-serve, which is great for people who want an intimate and private experience. We plan on coming back for an anniversary trip in the future!

We loved our stay at Blisswood for our elopement wedding! The wedding was beautiful with the 2 tier cake and bouquet of fresh flowers provided for us. Our cabin was such a doll-house within the trees! So quiet and serene. When you arrive at Blisswood there is a quiet, magical feeling that falls upon you as the car tires make a crunching noise under the loose gravel and the green, lush canopy of trees. Inside this magical tunnel of trees lies the Enchanted Cabin equipped with a hot tub outside, fire pit, and luxurious garden tub in the master bedroom. We enjoyed riding horses and roasting s'mores by the fire. Most of all, we just enjoyed the serenity of this place. You can gaze up at the stars at night and drink coffee while watching the sunrises. I loved listening to the cows mooing at night and all the birds singing in the morning. My soul was nourished by escaping all the busyness of the city. The staff are very warm and friendly. We will definitely come back to this magical place.

First I would like to say the on ranch staff of 3 were very friendly and helpful and we have no complaints with them doing the best they can they appear very over worked and under staffed. After having an few issues with the over all up keep of the property and reading other reviews I realized even after Carol the owner made many statements of repairing and looking into complaints I do not believe it was looked into. I believe Carol to be a very hands off person in the day to day operations of her own business. She was very good at making calls about reservation and billing but we never once met or even saw our host on the grounds. Yes this is a working ranch, but that does not excuse overgrown weeds across the entrance of the bridge or gazebo making it difficult to walk across. Then the showbarn yes 1/2 does house horses, but the other half is for the " ranch games" which should be off limits to the animals and could be with 1 single gate between to keep goats out of the area where the children are expected to play, and with that being said it was very difficult to play in an area with goat poop every where, and filthy concrete floors covered with motor oil and goat urine, very unsanitary. Wouldn't be hard to gate it off and power wash floor once a week if you cared about your business. Also all the ranch games were dirty and broken. I paid $59 each person for me and my granddaughter too have family game packs in our room when we arrived there ideas of. Family games were 2 dollar tree kites, 4 packs of glow sticks, and 2 packs of bubbles.. for $118. That was ridiculous. The Gazebo is such a beautiful area too bad it is not kept up on either, things just need swept out, leaf blown the cob webs repaint and take pride in a business you own instead of leaving it in the hands of the hired help alone. Even ended up getting bit by a brown recluse spider in one of the patio chairs prior to leaving so on top of a very expensive vacation that fell very short, for $279-$379 a night everything should have been included, but it was all extra including wifi. And now I get to experience expensive medical bills as well. Not much bliss in BlissWood. Very sad as this could be an amazing place.
