I am an LA-based event planner for that focuses on high-end events. I have worked with a wide variety of catering companies, but Bites & Bashes is next level. The first time I connected with Bites & Bashes they worked with me to provide a quick turnaround and blew us out of the water in terms of quality of the food and service. Luckily they had the availability to cater a last minute internal corporate reception for 75 people where they provided the most delicious passed hors d'oeuvres. In addition, we added the antipasto (picture below) which was a huge hit and incredibly stunning. The flowers came from the Chef Julie's garden which added to the magic.

The most recent event that Bites & Bashes catered was for our office holiday party at the Natural History Museum for about ~200 attendees. They were extremely patient and kind during the planning process as we had to build out an entire kitchen outside of the venue. Crystal (president) was specifically able to figure out ways to make our dream menu come to life even with all of the venue's restrictions (quick set-up/load-in times, lack of power, etc.). The Bites & Bashes team is creative and innovative. If you have a food or beverage idea for an event they will take it and make it 10x better than you could have imagined. For our holiday party, they made and served:

Passed Appetizers/ Hors d'oeuvres: Korean short rib tacos, jalapeno mac 'n' cheese bites, roasted butternut squash hummus on cucumber cups, chicken corn dogs, and crispy coconut shrimp

Interactive Food Stations: Pasta Bar, Live Action Carving Station, Sushi Bar, French Fry Bar, and a Late Night Taco Station

Drinks: festive cocktails - Naughty or Nice (margarita) and The Grinch (vodka, cucumber, pineapple, basil, lime), and an interactive old-fashioned station

If you are looking for good food, gorgeous presentation, AND fabulous service, than Bites & Bashes needed at your next personal celebration or corporate event. I cannot recommend Bites & Bashes enough!

One of my biggest wedding regrets is NOT trying the appetizer food that we had catered from Bites and Bashes. Our wedding was almost 2 months ago and I’m STILL hearing how much everyone loved the glass noodles!

My (now) husband had found bites and bashes and we were instantly intrigued by not only their impressive portfolio of clients and amazing reviews, but also that they are POC and Women owned.

They were great at communicating and everything was so easy when it came to working with them. We had them drop off the food at our venue to be served at cocktail hour.

While I have to admit that I didn’t get a chance to try the food myself, the fact that we are getting unsolicited compliments from SO MANY of our guests for not only the glass noodles but also the chicken satay and other items we had is a sign to me that it must have been amazing.

Amazing experience! We had a small wedding day party for 30 people and everyone absolutely loved the food! We ordered drop off service for about $1500. It looked really beautiful and the variety fit many different diets. I’m really happy with their service and would definitely order again. A few friends from the party asked for their info as well.

Bites & Bashes was the perfect caterer for our wedding at Los Verdes Golf Course! We could not have been happier with them.

Crystal and everyone we worked with over at Bites & Bashes were organized, responsive, friendly, and helpful. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you're happy.

Their food is delicious, and they give great advice about the best options to go with and how to display it, etc. We received so many compliments about the beautiful charcuterie display, their gorgeous serving dishes, and how great the food was.

Bites and Bashes was such a pleasure to work with. We fell in love with Crystal and Julie at our first tasting, and even more so loved the food they had prepared. Not only was the food incredible, it was also beautifully displayed. The flavors were complex and interesting, and presented on beautiful service ware and topped with edible flowers which made a breathtaking spread of food. Our guests were blown away by how good the food was, crowd favorites were the vegan gluten free Vietnamese glass noodles, which came in a small Chinese food to-go box, the pulled pork sliders with slaw, candied bacon, and the truffle mac and cheese. And the wait staff were all professional and so nice! We also hired our bartenders through Bites and Bashes and they were excellent. Overall, they ensured our experience was easy, enjoyable, and the final result was perfect. And they’re prices were so much better than all the other caterers we researched. I would recommend Bites and Bashes for any event in a heartbeat!

Bites and Bashes food is amazing and so flavorful! We hired them 3 months before our June 16th 2018 wedding (after hiring and firing another company) and they were so easy to work with! I found them on instgram because their photos were so cute and I loved their presentation - and it lived up to my expectation in person! When we walked into our tasting we had some idea of what we wanted and we were open minded, but we didn't really want tacos. HOWEVER after we tasted their amazing taco bar, we were sold! They even made a special french beef bourguignon for my husband who is from france. Their specialty glass noodles are so delish and served in tiny chinese take out boxes and the truffle mac n cheese was to die for. I really cannot say enough about the tastiness of their food. The service was just as good as their food! Everyone was so friendly. Crystal, Chelsea and Julie made the planning process so easy and they really made our party so special. Wedding food can be so boring - but theirs was so different and served in such a fun way - all my guests loved it! Hire them if you get the chance!!

I found Bites & Bashes through a recommendation from a friend while I was planning my 120 person wedding at the Millwick and they turned out to be the easiest decision that I made all year. Not only is Crystal and her team professional, but they made everything surrounding the bar, food, and service a breeze. There were multiple guests who raved about the food and said it was the best wedding food they ever had. The bartenders were friendly and accommodating to the last minute change in our signature cocktails.

Even my mother, who was originally horrified we weren't having plated meals, was gushing about the "Upscale American" buffet we had with steak/pork sliders, fried chicken, seasonal market salads and grilled vegetables. On top of everything -- B&B includes all of the elegant copper serving ware and table decorations to present their food in their quotes, which saved me close to a grand when it came down to getting wedding rentals.

I have already recommended them to a few friends, and 100% would work with Crystal and her team again. They are professional, responsive, creative, and knock their work out of the park.

Tip: The thai meatballs, Butternut Squash Quesadilla, and Glass Noodles appetizers are the BEST. The watermelon and arugula salad, as well as the fried chicken, is UNREAL.

Not only is the food from Bites and Bashes delicious, but it is presented beautifully and creatively. They created these beautiful spreads that made an empty space much livelier with the decoration.

I have eaten the full spectrum of what the multi-talented chef can cook: from American and Tex-Mex to Spanish and Korean foods. The jumbo paella and Asian fare are notable highlights, but I could also go on about the sliders, beet dip, tuna tartare and mini tacos!

Also, the team is incredibly professional during the planning process and the event itself. They understood what I was looking for and responded promptly to all questions. They could not make things easier.

Five stars for: food, presentation, service, professionally = everything!

This is an amazing caterer! I used their service for a surprise party I had for my wife. All of our guests absolutely loved the food and Brian the bartender prepared perfect cocktails! The staff were all so friendly and professional, thank you!! And a special thank you to Louis and Julie for all your help and patience!! My wife was completely surprised and we have such wonderful memories that we will cherish forever!! I highly recommend them for any of your catering needs to truly elevate your event!!

We are so excited that Bites & Bashes will be be catering the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding the end of September. We know we are in good hands as Louis is an exceptional experienced Events Manager. He has great ideas, is quick to respond to my texts and emails, and he truly loves his job! The food is also absolutely amazing! We can't wait for our guests to try the Mediterranean Buffet! Julie and Crystal Coser have created an amazing company and it will be receiving awards soon I'm sure!
