Birchwoods at Oak Lane

We had our December wedding and reception at Birchwoods. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. The appetizers and entrees were delicious and the kitchen staff and wait staff were attentive to guests’ dietary needs and restrictions and were flexible to accommodate entree options to suit their needs. Everyone had a good time dancing to the songs that RJ the DJ played. We had a wonderful time and great experience at Birchwoods. We would highly recommend having your wedding or other special event there.

Trish and the team at Birchwoods made our wedding day spectacular! The venue is gorgeous inside and outside and with so many packages and add ons you can make the day as extravagant or low key as you like. The pricing is reasonable and Trish is wonderful to work with. She is very responsive and truly listened to us when we talked about our day. The food was delicious, the decorations were perfect, and the bridal suite is beautiful. We had our ceremony at a church and then came here for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We could not have imagined a more incredible day!

Birchwoods is such a beautiful venue and the way they coordinated my wedding was so organized. i could not ask for anything better. Their service is amazing from the owner, to the bar, to the waiting staff, to the maître d. They decorated my wedding so amazing and the staff is so nice and helpful. I don't know what else to say but that they were immaculate and I had the most amazing wedding day I could ever ask for.

Trish and her staff were on top of everything. I did not need to worry about anything but myself on our wedding day. The food was beyond delicious. All of our guests are still talking about how our wedding was one of the best they have been to in such a long time. From the beautiful scenery to the decor, every thing was perfect. The waitstaff was great. Made sure everyone was taken care of. Highly recommended if you are planning your upcoming wedding. It was by far one of the best choices we have made.

Trish and the entire Birchwoods team was beyond incredible. Every meeting was wonderful, listened to what we wanted and kept up with our changes throughout planning. This venue has it all! We did a package and some add-ons that included the ceremony, cocktail hour, plated meal service with top shelf open bar, the DJ, photographer and wedding cake plus a dessert set up with pies, donuts and hot apple cider along with an coffee bar. The venue itself is beautiful, the golf course made a gorgeous backdrop for pictures and overall esthetic. 5 stars across the board!!!

Trish and the rest of the Birchwoods staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect- from setting up all of our decor, to meeting all of our dietary needs, to constantly having a drink or appetizer available to us even when we were taking pictures, they knew exactly how to make our day go smoothly even with two brides and our crazy blended families! They did everything they could to put our minds at ease and make our day feel important and special. We have nothing but positive things to say and would hire them again in a minute. You will NOT regret having your event at Birchwoods.

I attended my daughter's wedding reception here in November and Birchwoods is truly the best ever. I've been to many a reception in my time and this was easily at the top. The location is gorgeous with the sunset view and rolling hills of the golf course, so perfect for pictures, and the food was amazing! Not your typical wedding fare. You can tell a lot of care went into the taste and presentation of every dish, whether appetizer or entree. Trish was an absolute angel to work with, so accommodating and professional, and the staff was attentive and friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. I loved the layout of the whole place whether it be the ballroom, bridal suite, access to outdoors, even the bathrooms: it was a comfortable yet elegant setting and easily accessible. I truly can't put into words just how EASY the whole experience was and how happy they made our family, friends, and especially my daughter on her big day.

The staff at Birchwoods made our dream wedding into a reality. The pricing is more than reasonable and you get the personal touch of feeling like you are the only couple they are working with. Response time with questions from Trish was prompt and incredibly helpful and she made planning, decor, food, drink, and accomodations so easy. We had so many compliments on the food and overall feel of the venue and our wedding surpassed our expectations. Thank you for making our wedding the best day ever!

We had a difficult time finding a venue that provided a high quality experience in an intimate setting for a fair price- we looked all over NY and CT until we found The Birchwoods! The grounds are beautiful and the venue itself has everything you need for the event (including a variety of wedding decor!). The packages are customizable to ensure your wedding is exactly how you imagine it. Trish was amazing to work with and went out of her way to accommodate our requests. I truly felt that her first priority was always to help us have the wedding of our dreams, never to nickel and dime us or sneak in hidden charges. Especially with uncertainties of COVID, she was always willing to work with us and ensure our wedding was perfect.

On our big day, everything went off without a hitch. The venue was decorated beautifully and the food was amazing. We had full use of the entire venue (which I highly recommend!) and had our ceremony in the garden, cocktail hour outdoors on the patio, and reception in the ballroom upstairs. There was also a back up indoor ceremony site if the weather did not cooperate (which put my mind at ease). Our guests enjoyed the bee deck off the ballroom to get some air during the reception as well. Having only one wedding at a time makes a significant difference on the overall experience.

Overall, the Birchwoods is an exceptional venue and I could not have been happier to have had them host my wedding.

Picking a venue was one of the hardest decisions we had to make and that is because we liked EVERY venue we looked at. We even booked a venue prior to booking Birchwoods but realized we were not IN LOVE with it. We were at a loss and figured we’d just keep touring and so we did. We met with Trish at Birchwoods in October 2019 and signed the contract THAT SAME DAY. I don’t know if it was Trish or the venue that sold us (probably both) but we were HOOKED. The excitement set in, because when you know, you know! Birchwoods is set on a golf course which we never thought would be our style but the grounds were beautiful. The ballroom and inside were completely stunning. The vibe is rustic but not too rustic like a barn. It was the perfect blend of rustic, elegant and simple. Trish has TONS of décor in her closet and allows you to use all of it which totally cuts cost as far as centerpieces, décor and also allows you to get ideas of what you might like! Working with Trish was so easy and pleasant, which made the process of postponing and picking a plan B date due to COVID very smooth. After hearing horror stories from other brides, I was so thankful that our venue was one of the good ones. We moved our date, stayed in touch and just stayed in contact. Our tasting finally came and it became real. All of my food allergies were accommodated and we set up our final meeting. We upgraded our package, met with Trish, gave our final payment, finalized our centerpieces, discussed décor and drop off and when our wedding day came, it was beyond what we even hoped for and expected. Trish and her team really outdid themselves. It was down pouring so we could not use the outdoor space for cocktail hour but she accommodated us downstairs. The Ballroom was stunning. Everything was done better than I could have imagined. All of the staff were so friendly, so fun and attentive. Our matre’d’s were amazing and none of us can stop talking about how amazing the venue was, how amazing the food was, how amazing the staff was, just EVERYTHING. I’m so thankful we chose Birchwoods for our wedding venue. I’m so thankful to have met Trish and worked with her. Birchwoods is affordable, elegant, and really just perfect.
