I waited about a month to write this because I wanted to cool off first, but honestly, I’m still just as disappointed.

Our DJ showed up about an hour late, and because they couldn’t get their system together, both our ceremony and reception started late. From there, it just kept getting worse.

We had spent MONTHS making our wedding playlists on Spotify because that is exactly what we were told to use. At the wedding, they told me they didn’t have the playlists and even said I never sent them. Then they pulled up my email proving that I DID send them, but continued saying the playlists “didn’t work.”

Funny enough, I sent those exact same playlists to our bartender, and she was able to use them on her speaker with no problem. That speaker honestly saved the night.

The DJ missed basically every important reception moment. We were not properly announced, our first dance was missed, there were no announcements for the cake cutting, bouquet toss, or garter toss, and the whole reception had no flow at all.

At one point, music was even playing with COMMERCIALS because they didn’t have Spotify Premium. Again, they were the ones who told us to make our playlists on Spotify.

By 8:00 p.m., I finally fired the DJ. Our wedding was supposed to go until 10:00 p.m., but by then most of our guests had already left because the reception was dead. Thankfully, our bartender had her speaker, and our photographer and her daughter helped keep things going so we could at least have some of our important moments.

I ended up crying at my own wedding, and my husband is still upset about how everything turned out. We were so excited for the party part of the night because wedding planning and the first half of the day had already been stressful. Instead, the DJ issues completely took over the reception.

To make things worse, when my family tried to address the situation, things became confrontational. They got in my mom’s face and still refused to give us a full refund, despite missing almost every major moment we hired them for.

I also tried to locate the business through the Better Business Bureau because of how serious this experience was, but I was unable to find a listing for them. Combined with everything that happened on our wedding day, that only added to my concerns about the professionalism and legitimacy of the business.

You only get one wedding day. You cannot redo your entrance, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, or the last few hours with all of your guests there.

I’m just grateful our bartender, photographer, and her daughter stepped in when they did because otherwise our reception would have completely fallen apart.

I would absolutely not recommend this DJ based on our experience.

worst thing you could ever do is hire these people. they played incorrect songs for all of the entrances to our reception, and went as far as to claim they didn't have the songs provided, despite the fact i emailed the requested forms and they simply didn't look at them or communicate missing anything to me. they forgot to bring a microphone. they were so awful my father had to supervise them to ensure they didn't ruin anything else. it was so bad we requested they left. we also had set up a horse feeding area at the venue, and the "manager" was feeding all of the horse food before the wedding even started, even after being asked to stop by my husband. completely unprofessional and unprepared. after being miserably let down, they agreed to a $250 refund for the "inconvenience" and lied about everything they messed up. Avoid working with these people!!
