Matt did an AMAZING job with our wedding photos. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND what we could have ever imagined. Pricing was great, the inclusions and everything in the packages were on point, and the final product - engagement and wedding photos - were fantastic. Most of all Matt made me and my husband extremely comfortable and we are not picture takers! His creativity and ideas to get the shot are remarkable. I would recommend him over and over!! Matt was just wonderful to work with for our wedding! He was very dedicated, always making sure he knew exactly what we wanted, and making sure that we were happy with everything that he proposed. He even taught me how to pose for pictures, which was great for an uncoordinated person like myself :) He always made sure to come early and scope out the place before the engagement photos or the wedding itself and the pictures we have received have been of the highest quality. Matt was also just a very likable guy, we felt comfortable around him and appreciated his sense of humor and his willingness to try new things. Communication: Matt was quick to respond with our first inquiry. We picked up right away that we weren’t just “another job” to him. He wanted to know who we were as people, our story, and what we envisioned for our wedding. He was also very willing to offer suggestions since we had never been through this before. In addition, he gave us the option of compiling a Pinterest board of photos we liked, so that he could have a better idea of our tastes. Throughout the whole process he was happy to address any concerns we had (such as dealing with some family dynamics related to divorces, etc. during group photos).
Value: Matt’s rates were several hundred dollars less than comparable packages. However, we could not have imagined having a better photographer. He offered us a number of options and was very focused on what we would enjoy rather than trying to upsell us.
Photography: The photos of our wedding day are outstanding. They were professional, beautiful and captured the moments perfectly. He guided us through shots he envisioned, but also encouraged us to be goofy and ourselves. The shoot was not regimented, but instead fun. For group photos, he had a list of every combination we wanted, so we were sure not to miss any. Finally, he captured great photos during our ceremony and reception, but remained inconspicuous while taking them. Our wedding photos were a stunning combination of beautiful and candid moments that will let us remember the day forever.
Personality: We hit it off with Matt right away. He has a funny, very warm personality. He’s also very versatile in that he’ll nicely suggest poses or let you run wild with goofy shots. He’s also very dedicated. He arrived well ahead of schedule to scope out our venue. We can’t express enough what a great guy Matt is.
In summary, having Matt as a photographer was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding day.

Matt is a SERIOUSLY AMAZING photographer. He is communicative, creative, fun, and the perfect combination of friendly/professional. He really cares about your wedding vision and works hard to make sure he meets your goals for your big day. We first contacted Matt via his website and were able to meet him in person about 6 months before our wedding. In the initial meeting he brought samples of his work and asked us to pick out images we liked so he could really get a feel for our style. We were wowed by his work, its versatile and absolutely gorgeous. He can do casual and fun, he can also do high style and dramatic, it was amazing. We contracted him after the first meeting, his prices were some of the best we looked at. For the next few months we didn't need much, but when we had some unexpected budget hits we contacted Matt to make some minor adjustments to our contract - he was more than willing to accommodate our changes roughly two months before our wedding. A little less than from our date we had a video call with Matt to talk through the day of planner he provided and to get to know each other a little better. That call really helped calm our nerves, planning a wedding from a different state (we live in CO and got married in WI) is a whole different level of difficult. We got to Wisconsin a few days before the wedding and Matt met us on site to see our venue and look at locations for our pictures, he also schooled us in the art of posing and took some test shots so we weren't overwhelmed on the big day. When the test shots he showed us made my husband and I look stellar instead of goofy (which we are) we were over the moon. The day of Matt showed up early and worked hard to ensure he captured every moment, got every set up, and then some. About two weeks later we got a huge selection of photos to look through with the promise of more to come. We really enjoyed working with Matt and highly recommend him for your day!
