I love the professionalism that I received year over year. From Gina, Captain Mike and Joy they make the preparations for our guest experience perfect. I love the relationship we have created. Captain Mike and all of his crew were amazing!!! They kept our surprise wedding a secret, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and were WONDERFUL every step of the way to make our day perfect!

Everyone had a great time and a lot of people said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. My wife and I also returned for a Valentine's dinner trip around the lake. Its a perfect place for a great time.

I was unsure I even wanted to get married after looking and looking for a venue and nothing felt right, or was way out of budget. When I discovered Big D Cats, everything fell into place.

I still to this day, two years later, get told it was the best wedding ever.

Since you can cater your own food and bring in your own alcohol, it turned out to be very economical as far as weddings go. I chose a "package" that included a photographer and a DJ. You could also do the music yourself, but the DJ that came was awesome and really got the party going.

I have no hesitation in recommending this venue for a wedding or just about anything. The staff was professional and the boat itself is amazing. I also did a review on Yelp if anyone is interested.

We held our wedding reception on the boat and it could not have been more perfect. Captain Mike and the crew were so helpful and awesome with our guests. We especially appreciated how they worked with us to adjust as our attendee count grew. The boat was in perfect condition and the onboard audio and visual systems worked flawlessly. Several guests told us it was the most fun they had ever had at at wedding. We'll be back for dinner cruises as an annual tradition!

Earlier this month, I planned a proposal and engagement party with Captain Mike and Big D Cats. They did everything possible to make that night a success. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and crew here; they are all amazing. They listened to all of my concerns, and did their best to accommodate every request I made. They helped coordinate with my caterer, as the event was a surprise for my now fiancé. All of my friends and family were especially thankful and impressed by the incredible service we received.

The boat itself is impeccable. Give yourself a little bit of extra time to find it, just in case you get lost, but the experience is definitely worth it. I had family members ask, "what are we supposed to do on a boat for two and a half hours?" Between the food, music, games, and beautiful picture opportunities, the evening flew by and they were all begging to do it again. There is ample space for 30+ people to fit comfortably inside the boat, and room for 20+ more on the front deck.

There are no hidden fees or tricks to be played with this company. They are very upfront and honest about costs, fees, and what is included in your package. This venue would be perfect for any sort of proposal, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, wedding, etc. as long as the group isn't terribly large. I invited 30 people to my event and we all had plenty of room to spare.

I would recommend this company and the crew to anyone who is interested in sailing with them for an event. I have absolutely zero reservations saying that. My fiancé and I took a group dinner cruise with Big D Cats and loved it so much that I booked a private event. The service level was top notch on both occasions, and you should expect nothing less. If you have any questions, the staff is very friendly and easy to talk to.
