I first discovered Bella Umbrella at the Seattle Wedding Show and fell in love with the idea of renting fancy umbrellas for my wedding photos. In addition, I was having photos taken outdoors in Seattle in March, so I loved the idea of some extra coverage in case of rain. Bella Umbrella has an adorable little shop in Ballard.

I stopped by on a Sunday morning with my maid of honor and a bridesmaid to take a look at what they offer. They have such an amazing display of vintage umbrellas in every color of the rainbow! The girl at the counter was especially friendly and helpful. She talked through what I wanted and then made lots of suggestions without being pushy at all. The three of us had so much fun trying out different color combinations and it was no problem at all when we took the umbrellas out front to see them in the natural light and take test photos.

The umbrella rentals range in price and I quickly realized that getting individual umbrellas for my ten bridesmaids was out of my budget. However, I ended up getting five white vintage umbrellas at $20 each and one little lace umbrella for the flower girl. Having the alternating umbrellas in the photos ended up looking great and it cost only $131.40 which I thought was very reasonable.

We were able to pick up the umbrellas in a neatly wrapped package the day before the wedding and I had a bridesmaid drop them off the day afterward. The process was a breeze and I was so happy with Bella Umbrella's service. And it never did rain on us!

I rented adorable vintage umbrellas from Bella Umbrellas for my wedding day. Basically think Rent the Runway for umbrellas. They sent me my umbrealls on a thursday, my wedding was Saturday, and I packaged them up and sent them back on Monday. Easy! They're one of a kind, so you mix and match- which I loved. They aren't cheap, but I felt that for the price they really added something special, and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the photographs of us playing with them. I would highly recommend for brides... splurge on this!

I found my second line umbrella here at the Magazine (New Orleans, LA) location. At first I special ordered an umbrella and when it came in, it wasn't the umbrella I had ordered - actually the umbrella I wanted was no longer made. They let me take the umbrella home to see if the one that was sent would work with my dress. After I realized it dinner, they allowed me to exchange the umbrella for a different one. I chose an ivory lace parasol, and I bought rhinestones and glued them on to decorate it and give it a little more NOLA flair while still remaining classy. It was beautiful!
