AMAZING, Superb, Attention to Detail!

Coraly is by far the best makeup and hair artist there is, I could not imagine anyone else doing my makeup. The work she did, the professionalism she exhibited, her ability to listen. Her perfectionism, I honestly felt like a real Queen once she was done with me and my bridesmaids. She was punctual and the attention to detail are second to none. She is just the best and I totally recommend her. I followed her on social media a couple of years, and when it was time to find a vendor, I looked around, but nobody convinced me the way she did. Look at her work, review the pictures she posts. She is just superb.

Fall Wedding

She did an amazing job on my hair and make-up. Everyone kept telling me that I looked like a princess and I felt like one! Her prices are amazing compared to other vendors and the service was wonderful.

Beautiful work

Coraly was perfect! I didn’t book a hair or make up trial we just winged it. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it’s what she gave me! She did amazing with my mom and bridesmaids as well. I would definitely recommend her any wedding or special event.

Great value !!!

Coraly was very responsive and flexible. She was honest about which style she’d be able to do with my hair and listened to my concerns to reach a good compromise. She was very punctual with necessary arrival and finish times! She did not seem phased by the early morning start.

Beautiful wedding hair that lasted all day

I was so impressed with my hair and how it held the curls for the entire day and evening when normally my hair falls straight right away. My makeup was perfect as well. I asked for a more natural look which just made me look like a better version of my everyday self. The touch up kit that was provided was so handy for retouching my lipstick but I only needed to use it twice.

Was Not happy

So upon her arriving I had just gotten out of the shower hair wet, got it blow dried. She proceeded to do my makeup which I thought was a lot it wasn't light like the way I asked, I usually do not wear makeup at all. My hair from being blow dried was completely dry No chemicals added she started to put in the clip in extentions which Hurt but looked nothing like I had asked, my hair and the extentions weren't even blended in together it kinda looked as if there were all separate. The clip ins were so stuck in my hair it pulled some out.

Do not recommend

My biggest wedding day regret? Skipping the hair trial. My hair looked awful, and it's been eating at me ever since.
My wedding was on April 13th, 2024. My stylist never asked for inspiration photos or discussed my desired style. There was also a language barrier, making it impossible for me to ask questions or express my concerns. Even though she had an assistant, communication remained extremely difficult.

I paid for hairstyling and the placement of hair extensions. My hair is naturally very curly, and I wanted volume, not length. I showed the stylist a picture for reference, hoping she understood. She seemed confident, but that wasn't the case.

Instead of focusing on volume, she attached the extensions way too low, ruining the overall look. It looked terrible in photos! She pinned all my curls up and left, showing someone else how to remove the pins before the ceremony.

When we took out the pins, my hair was a mess. My natural curls were frizzy with the humidity, and the extensions hung limply. The stylist was long gone at that point. I tried a half-up, half-down style myself, but the extensions looked awful. By then, my natural hair was a poof and the extensions stuck out awkwardly. I just gave up and I put everything in a bun and tried to forget about it.

Please do a hair trial before your wedding day. It's an investment that will save you stress and ensure you look and feel your best on your special day. Don't make the same mistake I did, I am so upset with how my hair looked I am actually redoing my wedding photos with my husband. I hate hate leaving negative reviews but I do not recommend.

OK makeup terrible attitude

The ability to blend makeup well does not excuse a bad attitude or racist remarks. Don't book with Coraly/ Luz Santana.

Also all of her captions and a lot of her messages are generated through ChatGPT (I watched her open the app up during the appointment when she was supposed to be styling my hair)- you’re not going to be getting a personalized reply and none of the responses on her reviews were written by her.

I’ll start with the worst part first: if you come from an Indian or Middle Eastern family, don’t bother booking with her. She openly said families “like that” are too much trouble to deal with after her recent experiences.

Also, if you have a cool or neutral skin tone, be warned that her makeup oxidizes very warm.

Before my trial, I sent inspiration photos and specifically asked if I needed extensions or extra hair pieces to achieve the look. I’m a wig stylist, so I know these styles require support. She assured me she had everything needed.

When I arrived, she spent about 20 minutes on her phone before starting. I tried to be understanding, but her attitude throughout the appointment became increasingly cold and rude.

The final hairstyle looked nothing like my references. I asked for a romantic textured updo with soft ringlets and an S-curve bang, but instead she improvised with old braiding hair and poorly placed curls that couldn’t hold the shape correctly.

What frustrated me most was the lack of communication. Nearly two hours in, after struggling the entire appointment, she finally admitted I would need extensions to achieve the look I originally asked for. That should have been discussed beforehand, not after charging full price for the trial.

When I got home and took my hair down, I counted 69 bobby pins shoved into the style, many placed so badly they were digging painfully into my scalp and gave me a splitting headache.

At that point the appointment was already going badly, and I should have trusted my gut instead of worrying about seeming like a “bridezilla.”

The makeup itself was just okay. She seems used to working on one type of face and applies the same techniques to everyone instead of enhancing their actual features. A lot of her clients have heavily overlined lips, and mine were no different even though I naturally have fuller lips already. From the side, it looked ridiculous.

I had asked for a satin finish, but she did a flat matte look that aged me. The blush placement dragged my face outward instead of lifting it, and the eye blending didn’t suit my eye shape at all.

She also didn’t have the right products for my complexion. She carried no neutral or cool toned contour shades and used foundation that wasn’t full coverage enough for bridal makeup. Weeks before the appointment, I had messaged her asking for a glitter cut crease. When the time came, she didn’t even have the proper glitter and used lip gloss on my eyelids instead, leaving them feeling greasy and uncomfortable.

What bothered me most was the way the entire appointment felt. Every time I tried to speak up or question something, I somehow ended up feeling like I was inconveniencing her. By the end of the appointment, I felt more worried about being “easy to work with” than whether I actually liked the results.

Even though things clearly weren’t going badly, she kept reminding me how booked up artists already were for December weddings, which made me feel cornered into committing before I’d even had time to process how unhappy I was.

The appointment also ran far overtime because she spent most of it answering calls, texts, and voice messages. At one point, she kept another client waiting almost two hours past their appointment time. Then after everything, she still had me sit there longer while she disappeared to throw together a copy-and-paste invoice for services I no longer even felt comfortable booking.

Trust your gut. Don’t let her pressure you into paying a deposit before you’ve had time to process the appointment. It took encouragement from my bridal party for me to finally feel comfortable firing her.
