Being an Asian, it was important for me to find a makeup artist who understood Asian features. After attending a few friends' weddings for which Mary Yu did the makeup for the bride and/or bridesmaids, I was sold. Mary applies makeup naturally and with deft hands. Her makeup style tends to be a bit more smokey-eyed, which can be difficult for Asians with monolids or small folds, but she makes it all look very natural and good! She did my makeup, my bridesmaids' makeup, and my mom's makeup, and they all looked absolutely fabulous.

As far as professionalism goes, she is very professional and responsive. I believe that this is a side job, so her availability might be a bit limited; however, she is definitely worth it. Her prices are great, especially compared to some of the other makeup artists out there who charge a lot more for the quality that Mary provides. I actually stood in a wedding this past weekend, and Mary was the makeup artist... everyone looked very good! :) Try her out!
