The view here is amazing! We had a beach wedding, so the view, attire, and scenery inside and out fit perfectly!!! The Beach House is newly renovated and holds triple the amount of guests as before. It is now two-story and sits nestled in the side of a hide-a-way off the beach of Decatur and the new docks on the lake side. The lighting and food are amazing here. On scene bar(s) and restaurant are available as well.
(-) Our original promise would be a flat rate fee with the deck and inside room. As the process was moving along, we were told we would randomly have to pay 4x's the amount as promised! It was hard to get in touch with anyone via email or phone. A "cat fight" seemed to occur between two of the staff members here. As I spoke to more individuals in the community, I learned of more and more issues couples, families, and businesses had with this location. Events were being booked over theirs, staff was not showing up for meetings, food was not being prepared or was never ordered (someone arrived for a tasting and kitchen staff knew nothing about it!), and people were being slapped on these "additional" fees at the end. Some reaching $3,000.00!!!
If we had to do this again, we would have chosen elsewhere. Just be careful!
