The host, Kim, and her family were lovely from start to finish. They were so friendly and took care of us like we were part of their family. I didn't have a lot of people in the area to help with wedding planning, so Kim went above and beyond to help me with recommendations for other vendors and making all of the venue's decorations available. 

We went with the three day package and it was extremely useful to be able to set things up the day before and pick up any last boxes/cars the morning after. No other venues we looked at had that sort of option available (for a reasonable price).  We also ended up having rain around the ceremony time, but we were easily able to move the ceremony indoors and the weather still cleared up in time for us to do all of our pictures outside. We got some STUNNING photos in the trees and with the natural landscape around the venue. And inside the hangar the ambiance and lighting was beautiful. We also appreciated being able to make a really large dance floor, as this was really important to us when looking at venues. 

This venue has a "getting ready room" for the bridal party AND one for the groomsmen, which was also something we really liked. Cell reception in the getting ready room was a little spotty for phone calls, so plan ahead for that. But the lighting was perfect for doing makeup and there were lots of mirrors to make it easier for everyone. The design of the room also made for some very aesthetically pleasing pictures. 

Overall would highly recommend this venue. 

Kim and Ryan were amazing throughout the entire process! Kim was there to bounce ideas off of and her finishing touches brought my reception together. Ryan was very attentive to the property, which included the wedding site and the reception. I never felt overwhelmed or overstimulated the day of our wedding, and I knew that they had it all handled. We had numerous guests that commented about how perfect the venue was! The bridal and grooms rooms were roomy and allowed all the wedding preparations to be done without feeling crowded or cramped. They also provided great shots for our photographers.

Kim was amazing with communication even on wedding day. She sent me a text in the morning that basically said, we got everything you two just enjoy your day. That’s exactly how it went. These two venue owners are one in a million. From coordinating with the band, working with the food truck, to the bartenders and the officiant, their intentions to make it our best day was seen and felt by my husband and I. 

10/10 for the venue, the owners, and the communication. Thank you so much!!

The Ras Hangar, as well as the owners Kim & Ryan, has become so special to my husband and I. It really made our wedding experience so perfect. They are so kind and willing to help with whatever is needed. They are so involved throughout the whole process. They honestly treat their couples like family. I would recommend this venue to anyone!!! Not only is it an amazing atmosphere because of the owners, but it has to most beautiful outdoor ceremony area as well as indoor reception area!

It was an absolute dream for an outdoor wedding, with every corner of the property offering a picturesque view.

Everything about this venue was amazing. Worth every penny. Our guests had lots to say about it, the compliments were never ending. From beginning to end, Kim was extremely flexible and easy to work with. I cannot thank the RAS hangar enough for their amazing hospitality and service ❤️

From the moment we messaged her to meet from the moment we waved goodbye to our final guests, Kim was right there making everything easy and perfect. Kim has a huge supply of decorations to fit any vibe. The Hangar offers endless spots for stunning photos, a bridal suite and a groom room to get ready, and plenty space to dance the night away!

I was invited to a wedding that was held at the RAS Hanger just outside of Mansfield IL. From the start, pulling into the driveway, seeing a beautiful home to seeing the huge Red Hanger Barn, everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect. This was an outside wedding with a beautiful view of wild flowers and scenery. The reception was held indoor the hanger which was decorated so beautifully and felt so inviting, something I’ve never felt at other outside receptions or hotel receptions. To put into words the feeling of love is impossible, because this place, it was absolutely perfect. The owner I met briefly, she was so friendly and helpful and full of knowledge. Everything was so clean and there was plenty of room for everyone, all 200 + of us!
I would definitely recommend the RAS Hanger to everyone or anyone looking for that perfect venue, that perfect feeling for their unforgettable day.

Kim and her crew at The RAS Hangar are absolutely amazing!!! *mic drop* 😉 But seriously, she is very easy to work with and is willing to help you with as much or as little as you need! The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Kim helped us with additional decor and advice to give the venue that extra special touch. We received so many compliments from our guests about her staff and how helpful they were. She even accommodated to our grandparents who needed extra help getting to and from the outdoor ceremony location behind the venue. The bridal suite is very roomy and has the best lighting for hair and makeup. Our day was seriously a dream come true and Kim helped so much with making that dream a reality for us and we cannot thank her enough! I would highly recommend The RAS Hangar to anyone and everyone - near and far!
