BaseCamp Smoky Mountains is a beautiful, outdoor wedding venue with breathtaking views in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. This unique event space combines the beauty of nature with a modern architectural style to add a contemporary feel. Let BaseCamp be the perfect backdrop for your unforgetable wedding.
Facilities and Capacity
The venue contains several stunning accommodations, perfect for a pre- or post-wedding getaway. The Eco-Villas accommodate up to three people and feature secluded spaces with large patios or decks, private fire pits and hot tubs. Accordion doors open up to bring the outside in so you can take in all the beautiful surroundings. The Summit Lodge has one king and two queen suites and large front and back decks with breathtaking views. There is a oversized hot tub, firepit and access to over a mile of hiking trails.
Services Offered
During your stay at BaseCamp Smoky Mountains, you'll never be stuck for something to do! You and your loved one and guests will have access to schedule Immersive Nature Experiences that may include a cold plunge, nature meditation, river float or a rock workout amoung others. There are many different gardens for you to venture through, from swamp grass and four-leaf clover gardens to flower, moss, and fern gardens. Alternatively, you could explore wildlife and discover the mountain with over a mile of private hiking trails.

Nature Retreat
The resort is tucked away on Needmore Road, right next to the Little Tennessee River, national forest land, and expansive green spaces.
I stayed in one of the Eco-Villas (or the Lodge, depending on what you choose), and it was just right for what I needed: comfort plus a natural vibe. The villa had a private patio, fire pit, and hot tub, which made it easy to unwind in the evening under the stars.
If you like wellness and reset, the resort offers “forest bathing,” guided hikes, even cold-plunge options and meditation/energy-healing sessions (though you may want to sign up ahead of time).
Overall Experience
Basecamp Smoky Mountains struck a wonderful balance between comfort and wilderness. It felt luxurious enough to be a treat, yet wild enough to remind you you’re deep in the Smokies. The combination of thoughtful accommodations, serene natural surroundings, and access to hiking, forest bathing, and fire-pit evenings made for a reset that felt good for both my body and mind.
Amazing Experience
The views from the mostly glass cabins were breathtaking. All of the couples were so pleasant and enjoyable. The mood of everyone was very peaceful and relaxed. Our hosts were responsive and happy to make our stay wonderful. I would definitely go back and stay here. It would be a perfect location to have a mountain wedding! The view from the house at the mountain top is spectacular!
