Twenty years and going strong! The Barony House restaurant opened with a desire to have real homemade food and good people serving. Van High, owner, says "we continue that tradition."

The original emphasis of local Southern cooking was born from the influence of Sarah Motte, the High family's cook for over 40 years. Many of the recipes are still used today. The menu continues to change to meet the expanding food market and interest of customers.

It has always been the goal to have people leave satisfied with quality, quantity, and fantastic personal service. Along with partners, Michael Sweatman and Preston Riley the times are bringing good changes with expanded hours and a fresh look at menu options.

Bubba (caterer's name) is wonderful. You get the quality of food you would with a nice Charleston restaurant or vendor, but great small town service. Food was delicious (just like his restaurant) and he was wonderful. He also coordinated with Snyder events the rental of chairs, tables, table cloths, and the bar without charging anything additional. He is very aware of venues and gave us a great idea on how many chairs and tables we would need and how to set them up in addition to the catering. He also decorated our mantle pieces and lit candles for us at reception site free of charge. He went above and beyond and was absolutely amazing. USE HIM!
