In 2013, Sharon found herself under tremendous stress organizing her group travel for her very own June 30, 2014, Destination Wedding. Despite having hired a travel agent, Sharon was forced to organize every aspect of travel for her group of 90 invited guests. After returning from beautiful Punta Cana, she wanted to make sure other brides have a better experience. Coupled with her passion for travel and weddings, she embraced the opportunity to turn her less-than-stellar travel planning experience into a stress-free and memorable journey for future brides. And so, in July 2014, Barefoot Bridal was founded with a mission to transform the path from stress to success for every Barefoot Bride, providing them with one less thing to worry about when planning their wedding from afar.
Majoring in Hospitality and Tourism and having been in the travel industry since 2009, after getting engaged it was only right that Carol plan her own destination wedding. She knew to quickly find an experienced agency and discovered that Barefoot Bridal was unique, a past bride who had walked her shoes was going to be part of her vendor team. With such a deep passion for travel, customer service, and the hospitality industry, and having been a past destination wedding bride she was immediately brought on board as Barefoot Bridal's first Destination Wedding Travel Specialist.
Having attended her sister’s destination wedding in Punta Cana, Carolisa knew there wasn’t any other option for her, she was a Destination Wedding Bride at heart. After being a Barefoot Bridal guest and then a Barefoot Bridal bride, she was ready and excited to walk other brides through this amazing experience.
