If I could give Barefoot more than 5 starts I would!! I seriously wouldn’t have wanted any other travel agents to help me coordinate travel for my destination wedding of 100 guests rather than them. They are extremely responsive, helpful, insightful, flexible, and all around amazing people! Planning a wedding can feel like a rollercoaster and choosing people you can trust is a must! I had no clue who to go to and felt very overwhelmed at the start of the planning process but I’m so glad I trusted my gut and put my groups travel coordination in their hands! My agent was Diana and she was soo sweet and was always just a text away! She helped me from choosing a resort to making the millions of changes and adjustments we needed throughout the process. She even helped talk me through and gave me support about a last minute venue change! Do yourself a favor and trust them for your destination wedding! You won’t regret it! Finding the right venue online is overwhelming because resort websites show plenty of photos but very little actual wedding info. I was completely stuck trying to compare hidden costs and confusing packages on my own until I found Barefoot Bridal. They completely turned our planning experience around.
They kicked things off with an incredible intake call to understand our vision. They took total charge of the process right away, handling all the initial outreach to various resorts and filtering through the options for us. Their expert advice during our search was invaluable, and they ultimately guided us to choose Secrets/Dreams Playa Esmeralda for our May 2026 wedding.
During that initial call, they walked us through the entire room block and contract process. One of the biggest reliefs was how they handled the contract logistics—specifically ensuring that any unused rooms would be handed back to the resort in a timely manner. Having that financial stress completely off my plate was priceless.
Barefoot Bridal also saved us a ton of money by securing amazing incentives for our room blocks and flights. When you are planning a destination wedding, every single bit helps, and they maximize your budget. They communicate directly with the resorts to get upfront, honest pricing breakdowns so you aren't surprised by hidden fees later for things like DJs or decor. If you are debating working with a travel agent for your destination wedding, I can wholeheartedly recommend it, and Barefoot Bridal is an exceptional choice! I organize group events for a living, so have very high standards and Sharon and her team not only met, but exceeded them! I was able to entrust them with all of the travel planning details for all of our guests, which made things so much easier on end, and freed up so much of my time and mental energy!
From my very first call with Sharon, owner of Barefoot Bridal, I felt heard and supported. She and her team provided a level of service unmatched by the other destination wedding travel agents I had come across: they managed the entire communication and booking process with the Wedding Department of our selected resort, set up a dedicated booking site for all of our wedding guests, and managed all reservations inclusive of resort bookings AND transportation.
During the planning process I learned that this level of support is not standard in the travel agent world - many other brides at my resort had to spend a lot of time and energy helping guests with airport transportation, room bookings, and reservation issues.
I on the other hand, never once had to manage, or even communicate with guests about the details of their stay, and on more than one occasion, Barefoot Bridal helped our guests modify reservations in one case even after our group code had expired (truly going above and beyond to work with the resort to help my guests with the needed arrangements). I had ZERO stress when it came to my guest's experience leading up to the wedding because I knew everyone was being so well taken care of!
The Barefoot Bridal team is also extremely responsive and professional. They know the industry well and Sharon was able to advise me on several questions I had both during the resort selection process and also the wedding planning process.
I highly highly recommend hiring Barefoot Bridal for your destination wedding. It is a free service (you pay a deposit upfront that is fully refunded once the wedding occurs) that will make your wedding planning process so much easier and smoother leading up to the wedding itself, and even once you have arrived at your resort! -

I highly recommend Barefoot Bridal—they were truly lifesavers. I initially booked with another travel agency but wasn’t happy with their policies or costs. After being referred by another bride getting married at the same resort, I switched to Barefoot Bridal, and it was the best decision I made. My consultant, Diana, was kind, patient, and extremely professional. She took the time to explain everything in detail and was always available. The team was very accommodating and went above and beyond to honor my requests. They even credited the deposit I lost with my previous agency so I could use it toward my room reservation, which made the transition seamless. Their customer service was awesome for both me and my guests, and they kept everyone informed throughout the process. The best part is it costs nothing to use them (they receive their commissions from the resort) Although there was an issue with airport transfers upon my arrival in the Dominican Republic, it was resolved immediately. They apologized, refunded us, and included thoughtful gifts for the inconvenience. While no experience is ever perfect, I was very happy overall and would absolutely recommend them. Book with Barefoot Bridal and ask for Diana!!!! -

We LOVED working with Barefoot Bridal! We had our wedding in February 2026 at Secrets Playa Mujeres, and Barefoot Bridal helped make it all happen. As a destination bride, it can be difficult to know which resorts to consider and how to manage all the details needed to get your guests there. Barefoot Bridal made me feel like my destination wedding dreams were truly possible and supported us every step of the way.
Once they helped us choose our wedding location, they ensured all travel details were coordinated from start to finish. They answered mine and my guests’ questions promptly and were extremely helpful in coordinating shuttles and room accommodations. Planning a destination wedding can feel overwhelming, but working with Barefoot Bridal made the entire travel side of things so much easier for us and for our guests.
Before choosing them, I spoke with several different travel agent companies while trying to figure out the best fit for our wedding. Barefoot Bridal definitely stood out right away. They were more responsive, more organized, and really seemed to understand what couples need when planning a destination wedding.
Our agent, Diana, was absolutely incredible to work with. She was always quick to respond, extremely knowledgeable, and so patient with all of the questions that come up when you're coordinating travel for a large group. Having Diana handle everything gave me so much peace of mind throughout the planning process.
Barefoot Bridal created a simple booking website for our guests, which made reserving rooms and making payments really easy. The payment plan option was also a huge plus and made the trip much more manageable for many of our guests. Diana also helped coordinate airport transfers for everyone, which made arrivals and departures at the resort smooth and stress-free.
Another huge benefit is that Barefoot Bridal’s services were completely free for us as the couple. Diana also helped us qualify for both the resort incentives and additional Barefoot Bridal incentives, which helped offset the cost of our own room.
I’m so grateful we chose Barefoot Bridal, and especially grateful that we had Diana helping us through the process. I would absolutely recommend Barefoot Bridal to any couple planning a destination wedding. -

We had an amazing experience with Barefoot bridal! Sharon was very helpful with the entire process of finding a resort and communicating back and forth with the resort on our behalf. From the beginning Sharon stayed in contact with me, with anything I needed, and if she couldn’t get back to me right away I could speak to Mauricio he was very helpful and professional. As far as I know none of my guest had any issues either. Staying in touch through text, phone call, or emails was key especially since I didn’t hire a wedding planner. Sharon made me feel comfortable knowing she was a past bride, and she understood my concerns and worries. I didn’t hire a wedding planner so having Sharon as a travel agent really made up for some of my wedding planing and being on a budget. -

Looking forward to have a destination wedding? Let me give you some insight on how my planning and experiences went. September 2024, we started our official planning and was referred to Barefoot bridal by a coworking who was also planning their destination wedding. My husband and I wanted a tropical wedding, and I wanted it in a gazebo. Those were the two big factors for us.
On our first phone call with Sharon, we went over our dream wedding details and our budget and she worked her magic with location options. We were looking to have the wedding in Dominican Republic August 2025. Sharon gave us the pricing and had us think about any other locations that did not have a hurricane season. She brought up Curacao. Not knowing where Curacao was, we looked at what she sent us and fell in love with Dreams Curacao Resort Spa & Casino. From there details and room blocks were easy. Sharon took care of everything and was so quick to answer emails I sent.
Dreams the resort, was nice. Not a super fancy resort but it was quite low key and perfect for what we were looking for. The staff were very nice and helpful. The wedding coordinator who helped me in the process was great. He would take a little longer to get back to my emails during some points but nothing that stressed me out. Sometimes details get lost in email and if that was the case Sharon was quick to reply with the answer and would resent the initial email. That was amazing. Everything we had in mind for our wedding came true. We were able to add everything and more. Every detail came out exactly how I pictured and more. I was truly blown away on how everything came together perfectly. I DIYed a few things and the resort and coordinator were great in setting everything up how I wanted and never complained or gave me any issues.
The day of the wedding went so smoothly I was surprised. The hair and makeup people were ready and on time knocking on my room door. They were fast and were able to take care of my whole wedding party and our moms. The wedding coordinator kept checking on myself and my husband throughout the morning and having room service drop off fruits, dessert and champagne. The photographer was on time and on point as well. 15 Minutes before our ceremony in the gazebo, it started to pour down rain. The coordinator came to check on me and said once the rain stopped, he was personally going to go dry all the seats. Him and the staff did such a great job drying everything off including mopping up puddles through the resort. By the time I went down, I couldn’t tell it rained. The rest of the night was perfect. Everything went as I wanted and planned. I truly felt like a princess.
The food at the resort was good and they had a lot of options. The rooms were nice and clean. I had no issues. The overall staff was amazing to all my guests and myself. We were treated so well. The suite we had during our stay was beautiful and had an amazing view.
Overall, the planning process is always a little stressful but working with barefoot bridal eased my stress to much. The reservations’ part was taken care of, my guests could email them for questions or to adjust their stays and I didn’t have to worry. The experience and professionalism they have to make sure you get everything you want on your special day is amazing. They work hard to make sure you get everything you want for your special day.

We used Barefoot Bridal for our destination wedding at the Fives in Playa del Carmen, and they were absolutely amazing to work with. Once we chose the Fives, Sharon was able communicate with the resort to get everything set up and made it easy on us to just plan the wedding. Our guests worked with Barefoot Bridal to book rooms and schedule shuttles, and they handled everything. The best part was the Promos that Barefoot Bridal offered, making our wedding more affordable. I had previously read reviews of how great Barefoot Bridal was for planning a destination wedding and I can assure you they did not lie. My original TA had left and I got switched during the process and I was concerned things would be missed or lost and I can say no mistakes were made. The communication and professionalism working with Barefoot Bridal was elite. I recommend to ANY bride and groom who are looking to book a destination wedding. We had one issue with a guests reservation which was on the hotel not barefoot and I connected with Sharon the owner and she with no hesitation was on it and fixed. I 10/10 recommend Sharon shows pride with her company and it shows! -

I used Barefoot Bridal as my wedding travel agent for my destination wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic! My situation was a bit challenging because I paid for a percentage of each guest’s trip to my wedding, but their team handled it all well.
They were always SUPER responsive and patient, even when I bombarded them with emails asking the same questions because I was confused. They never made me feel like a bother and were always happy to clarify things and make sure everything was clear.
Not only did they handle the booking for my trip and my guests’ trips, but we also coordinated a fishing trip through their team and arranged transportation to and from the airport in the Dominican Republic for our guests. Everything went off without a hitch, thanks to their expertise and dedication.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Shaon from Barefoot Bridal in helping me plan my destination wedding at Secrets Tulum. From start to finish, her service was nothing short of exceptional. It was clear from every interaction that she put customer service at the forefront of her business.
First off, her communication was lightning-fast. I NEVER had to wait more than a day for a response to my questions, which was a godsend during the stressful wedding planning process. Booking (even same-day!) appointments to speak via video call was a breeze thanks to Barefoot Bridal's online system.
Sharon's expertise in resort selection was invaluable. She provided fantastic recommendations within my price range, and it was SO helpful to talk to someone who had actually stepped foot in the resorts I was looking at. When challenges arose with resort communication and wedding planning, she didn't hesitate to step in (I didn’t even have to ask!) and escalate issues on my behalf, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The personal touches really set Barefoot Bridal apart. I was tickled when Sharon surprised me with a goodie bag containing custom wine glasses, mailed to my doorstep! Every email and document they sent was incredibly aesthetic: their templates were delightfully pink and cursive-y, and it really made me feel like a bride haha!
Throughout the entire process, Sharon and her team exuded professionalism, yet still maintained a fun and approachable demeanor. I'm admittedly an inherent micromanager, but I had complete confidence in Sharon's ability to interact with my guests and speak on my behalf, which took a huge weight off my shoulders.
In the interest of transparency, I wracked my brain trying to think of even a minor complaint, but I genuinely couldn't come up with a single one. I interviewed 5+ travel agents, Barefoot Bridal was the clear winner, and I would not hesitate to recommend them again and again to my friends.

Starting to plan a destination wedding was starting to become one of the most stressful things, but Diana from Barefoot Bridal actually saved my sanity. She was able to give me several resorts in the DR that matched my budget as well as my needs for the beautiful views & the food! She gave me time to think over my decision which was so important to me considering I’ve heard of other travel agencies breathing down the brides neck which is something no one wants! Within a couple of days of choosing my resort she was able to get my contract ready and all of my 50 rooms are booked for my 2026 wedding! This is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders at such an early stage of wedding planning and I couldn’t be more grateful for her and her team! They are incredible! -

We would highly recommend the barefoot bridal team!! I had no clue where to begin in regards to planning a destination wedding. All I knew was that we wanted it in Mexico. Sharon was so patient and helpful in helping me to simplify it and to make the right choice. Her communication was speedy and brought a lot of comfort to me. Having done everything else in my own it was nice not having to worry about our family and friends and getting them the right accommodations. I had to step in only a couple of times but all went great! -

Sharon and the Barefoot Bridal team was excellent! If you are planning a destination wedding and do not know where to start, I highly recommend Barefoot Bridal. She was highly professional, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to messages. Sharon helped me pick the perfect location/ resort within my budget and guests budget. Guests then used Barefoot Bridal to book their rooms. There were no issues with rooms booked and transportation. Barefoot Bridal answered any of my guests questions/concerns, which took stress off of me. I had multiple guests compliment how good Barefoot Bridal was. The resort and wedding was amazing; 10/10 experience. We now have multiple guests interested in a destination wedding after attending our wedding, so I'd say it was a success! -

I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am for Barefoot Bridal! Specifically Sharon! From Day 1 of planning, Sharon has helped me IMMENSELY! From answering all my million questions, to booking my site visit tours, to giving me hotel recommendations, and even honeymoon recommendations!! Sharon was also so kind and professional and literally answered so fast!!! I’ll never forget I emailed her a question at 10:50 PM, and I had a response from her by 10:53 PM!!! Without her, I would be completely lost. Booking a destination wedding is already stressful enough, so having someone to help you is a game changer. My favorite thing about Barefoot Bridal is that they all have personally had destination weddings! So they totally understand! I decided to combine my love for traveling, coordinating excursions and wedding/event planning and have a destination wedding! ✈️🌴👰🏽♀️🤵🏽♂️While planning hasn’t been as easy as I thought it would be, there have been awesome people and vendors working behind the scenes on our behalf to make the day perfect. Our travel agent, Barefoot Bridal, is one of them and they have been answering my every question, helping our guest book their reservations and they sent me this cute little gift back in September. I found Sharon on a Facebook group she created for Cancun brides and decided to reach out to her after many people recommended Barefoot Bridal. I was originally going to handle my wedding myself, but then I found out that she doesn't charge anything and would take a lot of travel stress off my plate - sold! She helped me pick a hotel and we had an amazing time. She gave me very honest feedback about the different properties and I never once felt like she was steering me to one particular brand over another. She put me in touch with the different wedding departments to get wedding date availability and find out the cost of wedding packages. When they weren't responsive, she jumped in and got them to email me back quickly. Her team helped all our guests book, which they could do online on the website she created for us. It was all soooo very easy and I couldn't have done it without her. She was always so quick to respond, so informative, and helpful. Plus, we got an amazing gift before we left with a tumbler for me and a bunch of "Mrs." stuff to help me get excited, and I was very excited! They know what they're doing and I loved having Sharon as my specialist. -

I stumbled across Barefoot Bridal when trying to figure out what resort to book for my October 2023 wedding. I had the most amazing wedding planner for an off site wedding, but I wanted to keep the wedding and travel accommodations separate. Working with Barefoot Bridal allowed me to do this for no additional cost as their services are 100% free! The resort quotes I received through Barefoot Bridal were unbeatable because they had the best rates and came with amazing concessions such as complimentary semi private dinner, welcome party, and free rooms, etc.! All communication happened via email with Carol, which worked best for me. The team was so responsive which made the process such a breeze. They handled everything from answering my guests questions, sending deadline and payment reminders, arranging airport pick up and drop off, etc. The only mishap I encountered was that my concessions should’ve included 3 room upgrades (based in availability) but when I talked to the resort people about this perk and showed them the contract they had no idea what I was talking about so we did not receive any of our requested room upgrades.
Overall, my experience with Barefoot Bridal was very positive and I am forever grateful for their spectacular services!

I worked with Barefoot Bridal a year prior to my wedding. My TA (Carol Ebua) was amazing in securing our Room block of 30 rooms for our guests. She did an incredible job with our guests and me, every time I spoke to her it was like speaking to a long-term friend. She went above and beyond to get us the best rate and was always available for me and my guest. I love the fact it is an all-women's agency. It is very empowering if you ask me and all the ladies were amazing, I highly recommend them to any future brides or friends.
