The recently refurbished historic building boasts the beauty of a contemporary setting while remaining faithful to its original vintage charm. Allow the versatile space to set the scene for a romantic celebration while the venue's team works hard to transform your nuptial dream into a reality.

Facilities and Capacity

Baker Building features a 2,000 square foot second-floor ballroom to host the festivities. The space can comfortably accommodate up to 100 friends and family for the ceremony and the reception. The 18-foot ceilings coupled with market lighting and solid oak flooring make for a bright and airy atmosphere that remains cozy and intimate. The room is adorned with expansive windows, allowing natural light to enter and providing the perfect ambiance for professional photography. Next door, couples can find a catering kitchen and a serving room to accommodate vendors on the day.

A separate, 1,500 square foot venue will be ready by January 2026, please inquire for more details.

Services Offered

The team at Baker Building is committed to providing couples with a low-stress and enjoyable wedding experience. The group offers an array of service offerings in its packages to facilitate the momentous occasion. Event rental items include tables, chairs, drapery, a sound system, microphones, and an overhead projector. The planners also provide the setup and cleanup services on the day to ensure your space is picture-perfect from beginning to end. Conveniently, the facility operates an open vendor policy, so couples are welcome to bring in their preferred caterers at no additional cost. Private suites and get-ready rooms are available to couples, granting them the opportunity to relax and prepare before the festivities begin. Ample parking is available at the pet-friendly property, offering guests peace of mind when traveling for the occasion.

Beautiful venue, lovely vibe!

The Baker Building was the PERFECT venue for our October 2025 wedding, and we couldn't recommend it more enthusiastically!! Jen and Mark were so easy and pleasant to work with, the vintage Portland space is gorgeous, and the open vendor policy helped keep our planning process super flexible. And on the Big Day, our guests were comfortable and had a fantastic time (and easy parking)! It was also really cool to talk to Mark about about the building's history in the neighborhood, and hear some of their plans for the future. Schedule a tour!!

Flexible and Easy to Communicate With

We picked Baker Building because of the ability to personalize our wedding in the space since having specific food and drink vendors was important to us. Because they have an open vendor policy we were able to have a wedding that felt unique.

Vintage style/wedding of my dreams

We used the baker building for our December wedding. I had a feeling this would be our venue. After my husband and I went through the tour, we both looked at each other and said "this is the one!" It was a easy yes! It was such a dreamy place for our wedding. We were grateful that chairs and tables were included in the venue price. We did not have to rent any items because of it. We didn't have to add much decor because the space was already what we were looking for (hard wood floors, white wall, vintage feel.) The kitchen was also one of my favorite parts as it was very minimalist/clean look with plants. We had appetizers on the movable tables provided in the kitchen. The price of the venue fit our budget and was on the lower side compared to other venues. The two dressing rooms were helpful for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready in. It was the wedding of my dreams!

Perfect in every way

We absolutely loved our experience at the Baker Building! The venue is gorgeous. We were able to truly make the space feel like our own with minimal decorations as the space is classic and beautiful as is. They had all the tables and chairs at the venue, and we were able to bring in our favorite caterer which was a huge bonus. There were extra rooms to get ready on-sight and so many extras (coat rack, extra furniture, even an arch for the ceremony!) We were able to provide free parking which our guests really loved. And venue owners are so sweet and easy to work with- they answered all of our questions and helped us talk through our wedding details so we didn't forget anything! Definitely 10 out of 10.

Smooth like our dance moves

From start to finished this was a great experience. We had to change venues2 weeks prior to our wedding . The Baker Building was available, we were able to tour it quickly, and able to secure it. Communication with Jennifer and Mark was clear and professional. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Our wedding turned out better than we even imagined.

A true gem

We feel so fortunate to have found the Baker Building for our wedding. Their open vendor policy allowed us to bring in our preferred caterers for no additional fee. There were no hidden fees and everything was included in the quoted price. Mark and Jen were easy to work with and accommodating every step of the way. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful historic venue in North Portland.

The best day ever

This place was amazing! Was very happy working with the owners who responded to our questions so that our day would go off without a hitch. The venue is absolutely beautiful which made it even more special. My husband and I are so happy we found this place.

Beautiful venue, easy to work with

Very happy with this venue choice. Couldn't have picked a more gorgeous place to get married. The vendors were super helpful and quick to respond to my many, many questions throughout the months leading up to the big day. They were also pretty hands off as far as day of, which really allowed us to make the place our own. Venue had all the essentials, tables, chairs, ac(super important in a big white dress), PA system, kitchen area with plenty of space, two rooms to get ready and two adorable little bathrooms. You'd be surprised how many venues I checked out that either didn't have these things or nickel and dime you for it all. Plus there was free parking at the pcc campus just one block up and a beautiful garden a few blocks up for pictures! I would highly recommend the baker building!
