Facilities and Capacity
For couples that want a farm wedding, but not a dirt floor, Bad Seed Cider can provide a unique yet lavish wedding experience for guests. Whether you're planning a grand soiree with 125 of your best friends or a more intimate event, they have you covered. Ceremonies can take place on their luscious grounds with a scenic view of the apple orchard. After saying 'I do', couples and their loved ones can make their way into the Cider House for a night of dancing and entertainment. Their 3,000 square feet of indoor space is a blank slate for you to plan your perfect reception. Plus over 5,000 square foot outdoor space complete with fire pits for your guests to relax and unwind at the end of a memorable evening.
Services Offered
Bad Seed Cider site fee gives couples exclusive use of the site during the hours of the event and the day prior to setup. The staff here is passionate about providing the finest services possible. For your convenience, the event team facilitates all set-up and clean-up services during your function. We provide all Tables and Seating for the venue. The venue also welcomes outside vendors and you are free to bring along anyone that might make your wedding atmosphere all the more special. In addition, their bar packages offer local craft beer and wines including the farm's cider.

The best Hudson Valley wedding venue
Bad Seed was always our favorite HV cidery. We fell in love with their cider and beautiful orchard when we used to live down the road. When we got engaged we immediately reached out to inquire about having our wedding there, fully expecting that it would be out of our budget. Instead, it was one of the most affordable options in the area so we immediately booked it! We are so so grateful for Devin and the incredible staff at Bad Seed, who went out of their way to make sure us and our guests had the best time. Everyone commented on how great the cider was, how beautiful the ceremony and reception space was, and how kind the bartenders were. It was the best day, and will forever be our favorite place to return to every time we visit family in the area. If you’re getting married in the Hudson Valley, look no further than Bad Seed, it has it all!

Wedding 10/10
we had our wedding on 10/10 and we couldn’t have imagined it being anywhere else. From when we first met Devin to the day of our wedding he was so professional and communicative. Any and all questions we had he would either call or email to help figure out. The staff at bad seed was so kind and helpful with anything we needed and obviously the grounds are so beautiful and the cider so delicious. We received so many compliments on how awesome the venue was and how great the bartenders were. We have visited bad seed several times leading up to our wedding and will continue to visit. Bad seed holds such a special place in our hearts.

Perfect Fall Vibes Wedding
If you're currently considering Bad Seed as a venue, stop considering and just book your date already!! Seriously, Devin and the entire team at Bad Seed are the best - very helpful, attentive, and just great humans to work with! As queer brides, we took great care in hiring inclusive and supportive vendors, and Bad Seed really made us feel welcome from the second we started our venue tour. They were quick to respond to our one-off emails and did a fantastic job of coordinating with our table/chair rental vendor the week of the wedding which was a huge help. It was extra fantastic to have the day before the wedding to come in with our bridal party and set up the space exactly how we envisioned it and we loved having the space to ourselves for our big day.

Jack and Jill Wedding Shower
My fiancé and I had our Jack and Jill wedding shower at Bad Seed at the end of September and it couldn't have been a better experience!! Devon was so easy to communicate with throughout the process. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout the course of the day and our guests couldn't stop raving about the cider and atmosphere. If you are a looking for something a little out of the box and extremely affordable, then give Bad Seed a call!!

My Dream Wedding Venue
I had my wedding at Bad Seed on Friday September 8th, 2023 and I could not be any happier I chose Bad Seed. Devin and his entire team are so incredibly kind and helpful and were all truly a pleasure to work with from the planning stages up until the day-of. I feel lucky I found Devin (the owner). I chose Bad Seed because of Devin's attitude and I knew I could feel good supporting Bad Seed as a company. We got so many glowing compliments about the physical venue space as well as the bartenders. We had our ceremony inside due to rain as our plan B and it was just as beautiful as the orchard setting. I would be more than happy to answer any questions about my experience!

Everything we hoped for!
Working with Bad Seed Cider was the greatest experience. My husband and I both graduated from SUNY New Paltz and wanted a venue in the area that highlighted the beautiful surroundings of where we met, Bad Seed’s location is perfect for just that! Our ceremony was in the orchard under a beautiful tree, we got to take pictures in the orchards with the rolling hills behind us, and the cidery itself is a very cool space to have a party. Our guests loved the indoor/outdoor spaces, the patio worked great for lawn games and cocktail hour, and the inside has an awesome dance floor space and an upstairs that looks over the dancing, we loved this space for our older guests and a kid table! Devin and his staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. We booked the space about a year before our wedding and Devin was available throughout the year to answer any questions, meet us at the space, and help us coordinate with different vendors. He was always quick to email us back and flexible with our wedding plans, something we greatly appreciated. We loved his catering recommendations and ended up going with Victoria’s Brick Oven Pizza (also highly recommended) who could not stop raving about how great it was to work at Bad Seed. Choosing vendors who knew the space and enjoyed working there was very important to us and easy to do with Devin and his staff. We are so happy with our choice to get married and have our reception at Bad Seed Cider, we have no complaints, only positives to say about this venue. 10/10 would choose it again and again!

Amazing Wedding Venue.
Our wedding was in late October 2019. Bad seed was the perfect picturesque venue for our October wedding. We loved the ceremony space with the beautiful tree. We love the playful fun venue. We had a blast with the chalk board. Because the weather was too cold we couldn’t use the outdoor space as much, but the fireplace was a nice reprieve from the party inside.
We had plenty of space for food set up and dancing. They were amazing to work with. We were able to set up the day before. We upgrade our drink options to include cocktails. They brought a bartender in to custom make a cocktail menu just for our event using their ciders in each cocktail. I LOVED it. Honestly my only regret of the day was not having the opportunity to try each cocktail! Devin was our contact person and was wonderfully responsive and helpful.
We had such a lovely wedding here, and I kinda love that we can casually go back to bad seed just for drinks. Not many people get that opportunity. I highly recommend bad seed for the perfect NY fall wedding venue.

Hidden Hudson Valley gem of a Wedding Venues
Bad Seed is a well-established cidery that my now wife and I have always adored for their hard cider and atmosphere. So much so that we decided to get married there in July 2021. It's rustic with a hometown/farmhouse-vibe and it is run by the most generous, caring crew that you will ever come across. Owners Devin, Albert and Kortney are the most sincerest people you will ever meet. They made our "big day" seem like a breeze. Staffers are also well-trained and accommodating (Brandon & Giuseppe worked our event and were super professional and go-with-the-flow). Very communicative, understanding, responsive and flexible. We had our ceremony in the orchard and our reception in their indoor/outdoor cider house. What a gorgeous backdrop this was for pictures! Our guests loved it, my wife loved it and I couldn't recommend this venue more.

Amazing experience / Beautiful property
We recently had our wedding at Bad Seed this past October and it was everything we imagined!! We were looking for a reasonably priced, casual space to host a backyard / rustic themed wedding. We found all of this and more with Devin and his crew! The space is beautiful, the staff goes above and beyond to help, and Devin is so knowledgeable about tips and tricks for your big day! The cider they make is fantastic and strong! They also serve a selection of local beer and wine from the Hudson Valley- be advised NO LIQUOR. We honestly found we didn’t need it and our guests didn’t miss it. You can bring in any food you’d like and use their small bites food truck for late night snacking- we did that and it was DELICIOUS! Renting the space privately included the entire day of the wedding for ceremony and reception sites and was very reasonable! You then you can go from there adding open bar, late night snacks ETC. We also used the space the night before for a rehearsal dinner and to decorate for the big day (we paid a separate fee for bar service for that evening and brought in our own food). The property is ideal for fall photos and it screams rustic wedding if that’s what you are going for. The indoor space is just as beautiful but we utilized the outside the most since it was a gorgeous day and night!
