Babi Diaz

Barbie Diaz did our day of coordination and helped with our rehearsal. She was fantastic. Super easy to work with. She has a nice calm demeanor, which helped with our nerves. And she made sure everything happened when and how it was supposed to. We really appreciated her help!!

We had Barbie Diaz for our wedding planner and she was simply amazing in every way! Trying to plan a destination wedding was giving us a lot of stress, but Barbie made it so easy and relieved a lot of our worries and stress. She went above and beyond just wedding planning. When we visited for our venue look and food tasting, she picked us up from the airport, as well as drove us around to meet other vendors. We felt so comfortable with her. She gave amazing advice and had a short list of absolutely brilliant vendors to work with. The wedding vendor team that she coordinated was simply top-notch and we couldn't have asked for more.

Barbie Diaz was THE reason our wedding was perfect. Especially if you are doing a destination wedding, Barbie will make you feel like she's your Puerto Rican Mom as she will only show you the best, give her unbiased opinions, and will be there every step of the way until your wedding night is over (she literally stayed until everyone had left and she helped pack up favors and other pieces for us to keep!).

If you are planning a destination wedding, you need to hire Barbie Diaz. For some reason their business does not have many reviews on Wedding Wire, but they are busy, and well respected in PR. Her mom Babi Diaz has been doing local weddings for 20 plus years, and Barbie does the destination weddings.

I originally hired another planner who has a great reputation on this site. Big mistake! She was unresponsive, not helpful, expensive, I felt completely scammed. I lost my deposit, but I'm so glad I fired her, and found Barbie. Barbie picked up right where the other left off, and tied up the many loose ends. It was a good sign to me that when I informed our vendors of the planner change, they were reassuring. They all loved working with Barbie and made it clear that I made a good choice! We discussed the best way to stay in contact; for her, that was text message. She was very responsive and professional. She has great advice and she delivers it with authority. She knows weddings, she knows what works- listen to her, and you will have a great event!

The week of the wedding she met with several of my vendors with us. She was there early on the day of, with a very professional assistant. They helped set up, they troubleshooted issues that came up, they kept us on a schedule, they directed guests, she helped when my bustle broke, etc etc! At a minimum, you should hire her for day of planning.

On top of all that, she is a really nice person, and I felt very comfortable having her part of the wedding process. Wedding are wonderful but stressful-it's nice to have a person you feel comfortable with during those vulnerable days (in a professional capacity)
