Paul and his team were amazing to work with for our wedding day. From pre-wedding planning (being transparent, providing guidance on scheduling and photos type suggestions) to actual day of (giving us amazing tips on stance - which I always keep in mind now - to helping my husband and his groomsmen with getting dressed, communicating with our family and guests in both English and Korean, capturing some amazing portrait shots) ... but most of all making us feel at super ease during photos especially on a humid July day - it was amazing.

Communication from start to finish was key and amazing and we thank you so so so much for capturing such detailed moments from our day on photo and video!

Paul and his team were amazing—we really couldn’t have asked for a better document of our wedding. They traveled to Boston for our wedding from New Jersey. They were a pleasure to work with on the day of—organized, fun, unobtrusive, and put at ease. We’re really picky about photos and video, and dislike most of the ones we see from other weddings, which often feel a bit overwrought and ‘wedding’-y. BOM documented the wedding exactly to our tastes: down-to-earth, extremely well composed, and captured the day beautifully. They also did lovely posed Korean-style couple photos in addition, which was important to us.

Adam, the videographer, put together a wonderful video that was also exactly what we were looking for (both a short trailer-style and a longer one, about an hour and a quarter). It similarly felt like a very natural and satisfying document of our wedding. He was also extremely patient and spent a long time working with us, accommodating our feedback to get the video exactly to our preferences.

I doubt we could have found either photos or videos better from anywhere else, even booking them separately, and the package together from BOM was a great deal. Could not recommend more highly.

Paul and his videographer Adam were an amazing team. Paul did both our engagement shoot and wedding day, and he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He made all the photoshoots fun with his sense of humor and he has a wonderful command of lighting/space to create beautiful pictures. We loved all of our photos and wish he could document all of our life events. He was also very easy to communicate with in the months leading up to the wedding.

Adam's videos from our wedding day were so thoughtfully and creatively made, and we've been so happy to be able to relive the special day thanks to his work.

I literally cannot say enough good things about Paul. We hired him for our wedding, but ended up meeting him months sooner for our engagement shoot that came included in our already incredible price for photo + video. We had met with so many photographers and never connected and I randomly found Paul on Google and we instantly knew we wanted to work with him. First, he was so responsive and flexible with dates/times... even let me change the engagement shoot to a completely different day. He made the whole time so fun, listened to us & we did not feel forced at all to pose in any way. I am not exaggerating when I say I was BLOWN away by the results. Even people I know in the industry could not give me enough compliments on how these gorgeous photos turned out. I had a vision and he exceeded every expectation. Unfortunately, four months before my wedding my venue abruptly closed and our wedding was canceled. It was not enough time to re-plan the whole thing so we chose to elope, and Paul even made that process stress-free. He is the only vendor that did 100% right by us - even going beyond what he had to. I will work with Paul again for sure. DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER if you're looking for a photographer and book him now!!

From the moment we met Paul for our initial consultation, we knew that him and his team would capture the best memories that didn’t feel or look staged. Little did we know, him and his team far exceeded everything we imagined. We booked Paul with two photographers, two videographers, and someone to help manage their photo booth. Paul was very responsive to emails/ phone calls and any questions we had leading up to the wedding. They arrived on time to the hotel to begin taking getting ready photos/ footage. During that time his entire team was very professional and gave us a lot of pointers on how to sit/ adjust our bodies to get the best angles. Our bridal party agreed that his team didn’t feel intrusive, paid attention to detail, and was very attentive/ patient in helping everyone get the perfect shot. A bonus was his entire team we’re all so funny and brought good vibes, while being extremely efficient and detail oriented. When we were taking family photos Paul and Beth were able to help organize our family members with ease even though many members didn’t speak English. For our traditional Chinese tea ceremony, Paul and his team were quick and able to pick up on the little details and reactions for the videos and photos, which we will both will cherish forever. Another example of Paul’s dedication and having a good eye was for our garden shots, he was literally laying prone on the ground! That photo is one of our absolute favorites because the background naturally framed us. We received our videos and photos shortly after our wedding date and the photos are all very natural and doesn’t look overly processed. Everyone we’ve shown the videos/ photos to all rave about how amazing it looks and asks for their contact information. If you want a team who are professional, efficient, organized, and pays close attention on detail, then we highly recommend Paul and his team as your photographers/ videographers and photo booth!!

Paul and his team (Adam, Jean, Andrew) were absolutely incredible to work with. With all the uncertainty surrounding COVID weddings, we really appreciated how communicative Paul was. During the planning phase, Paul was great about answering all of our (many) questions and offering advice and honest opinions. He had us fill out a worksheet that had us think about our vision, what shots were important to us, and other details. For the big day, we had a pretty convoluted timeline (and it rained the entire day), but the whole team still made sure to get all the small & special shots we wanted, as well as some cool creative shots in the rain. We are not huge camera people, and he made us & our wedding party feel very at-ease and was great about posing us naturally. We also conveyed that we wanted a more natural & candid style, which he accommodated and captured 100%. We received our photos within a reasonable amount of time- they look amazing, and they also took more than we had anticipated. Our wedding videos also came out great and did an amazing job capturing the important parts of the night. In addition to all of this, we felt the pricing for combined photo + video was quite reasonable. My husband and I are so happy to have chosen BOM Photography!

My husband and I got married in June 2018 and Bom photography captured our wedding day. If you're looking for wedding photographers, look no further and book now if he's available. I first met Paul with my mother- he was highly professional, showed sample albums, talked about his style and approach to photography, and explained the whole process thoroughly and patiently (in English with me since I'm more fluent in English and also in Korean with my mother who is more comfortable with Korean). He was also very gracious about adjusting the plans to meet my budget. Communicating with him was easy throughout. The day of wedding, he and his associate made it so effortless AND FUN for everyone (me, husband, family, wedding party) to pose for the camera. He really knew how to use the lighting in the environment (inside and outdoors), background, angles, and so on to capture the most precious moments. He and his associate also went around our venue to find the most beautiful places. They helped everyone feel comfortable and gave quick posing tips throughout. The execution was beyond perfect. Everyone was highly impressed by their professionalism and talent. Our parents could not stop raving about them. The only difficult thing has been picking photos for our album out of +1000 amazing photos. THANK YOU!

Hiring Paul was hands down the BEST wedding vendor decision that we made. We first hired Bom Photography to do our engagement photos after I saw his work on a coworker's wedding. My husband and I are not the most social media savvy/photogenic people, but he was incredibly verbose and patient as he directed us into the most flattering poses for our photos. We were thrilled with our engagement shots and got so many compliments on our wedding website and save the dates - multiple brides-to-be at my office asked for Paul's contact information. We of course hired Paul for our wedding. In advance of the day, we asked him to do a full walk-through of the wedding with us because we knew it would be a chaotic day - the church ceremony was in downtown NYC, we had 16 people in our bridal party and over 220 guests, and the reception was in Jersey City. Paul not only was willing to do the walk-through with us, but he made helpful suggestions about our timeline and showed us additional spots where we could take great photos. He had to deal with the sweltering August heat, multiple site locations, and a multicultural wedding party that probably made lighting each shot pretty difficult. However, Paul was always up to the challenge and expressed nothing but enthusiasm about being a part of our wedding day. He also collaborated very well with our videographer.

Paul and his assistant were so calm and cheerful on our big day, and once we were done with formal portrait shots, I honestly did not notice them. They blended into the wedding and got amazing, touching shots of us and our family/friends in a candid, photojournalistic style. I don't have enough words to thank Paul for how perfectly he captured our wedding day and how much time he must have put into editing the hundreds of wedding photos he just sent to us. I'd absolutely recommend Bom Photography to any bride-to-be in the NYC/NJ area!

Paul and Caylena were a pleasure to work with on my wedding day (9/2/17). Paul was highly recommended to me by another wedding photographer. After interviewing over 80 photographers, I went Bōm Photography since I was liked Paul's vision and artistic style. I appreciated his very prompt, courteous and professional demeanor. Very accommodating and fulfilled our needs beyond expectation. I did not intend to go with a Korean speaking photographer but it helped out so much especially with many of my family and parents' friends. Paul and Caylena worked well with the crowds and giving direction without it seeming awkward or intrusive. Very patient when dealing with some dramatic family members too. Was helpful when drawing out the day's timeline and answered lots of questions I had. I was very happy with my decision to go with Paul and his team. I can't wait to see the pics!
