I stumbled across Cinema of Poetry by a chance when I was planning my destination wedding in Greece. I’ve interviewed and spoke with multiple videographers and the moment my fiancé and I had a meeting with Kostas, we knew then and there that we want to work with him. I’ve watched his art of work and Kostas has an incredible talent of telling a story using your unique background and love story. I appreciated that he was upfront with his style and he screens his couple to ensure that both parties are good match to work together. I loved his transparency and the time he took to explain his style and what to expect. Kostas is extremely organized and very professional. He really cares for you but at the same time he wants you to trust him to do his art of work (for example, he picks up the song/music for the video, often times it’s an original piece). We filmed shots the day of the wedding and he felt that we didn’t have enough material and took the time to meet with us the day after the wedding to shoot more to capture the beauty of Naxos. While we were so tired, it was worth 1000%. The Instagram teaser, and the delivery of the videos were timely and very high quality. Kostas keeps in touch with you after the wedding to keep you up to date and what to expect. Since we had international wedding with multiple languages it was challenging to express the essence of it in the video, but Kostas did a fantastic job! I’m so happy that we went for the whole package and if you are looking for a videographer for your destination wedding who really loves his work, I can’t recommend him enough! I mean this with every fiber of my being.

Ok now for those of you who like the details and lengthy description:

I found Kostas through Instagram; I can't recall exactly how I stumbled upon his profile, but it didn't take more than watching a single one of his videos to know that his creations were unlike any other. Kostas is heart-centered and therefore, he approaches his craft with emotion and deep intention. He asked for a pre-interview with us so he could get to know us. Details that we shared on that day (years before our wedding, due to the pandemic) were ultimately woven into the video and his recent blogpost - what does that tell me? It tells me that he listens carefully and pays close attention to detail - attributes that undoubtedly shine through his work.

In addition to the spectacular visuals, Kostas captures and incorporates all of the sounds that you want to remember - for example, the traditional acoustic music, the occasional banter and laughs, loud frogs in the quarry - audio details that take you back to the day. Again, this is all in addition to how he uses natural lighting, his exceptional equipment, and the landscape to present you at your best.

What meant the most to us was that Kostas incorporates storytelling, symbolism, and poetic tie-ins. I honestly can say that our video beautifully represents my husband and I as a unit, separately as individuals, and the community we've built. In the few interactions we had, Kostas was able to piece this all together and create a work of art that we will treasure forever.

He noted that one of our wedding themes was this notion of blending since my husband and I come from different backgrounds and we also have different personalities. What's incredible is that Kostas navigated all the various styles, preferences, and comfort levels that came with this. When beginning our search for the right elopement photographer and videographer it was quite the overwhelming experience. Where do you start and how do you know you have the right person to execute your vision.

After researching various potential options, we were so lucky to find Cinema of Poetry. We immediately connected with his style and we’re astounded by the work in his portfolio. It was exactly what we were looking for all along. We were so glad he was able to offer both video and photography which was hard to find. We wanted the style to be the same in both the video and photos and worried about having different vendors for each.

From the start he was quick to respond, answer all our questions, get to know us as a couple and our vision. Since we were coming to Greece from outside the country we were worried about all the logistics. However, Kostas personally met with us via video chat in advance which was so great and much appreciated especially how accommodating he was with our time difference. He also gave suggestions for vendors and cities to consider when booking our stay. His advice was so helpful and we booked a hotel in the beautiful city of Imerovigli which was the most perfect location for us in between everything on the island but also not super busy either.

He was in constant communication with us and making sure we felt confident in the plans. On the day of our ceremony, him and his team were a pleasure to meet in person. They made us feel comfortable while they captured those important and intimate moments. Him and his team spent the entire day with us and even helped with transporting us in their vehicle to different unique locations for different shots. During this time we got to know him and his team and they were just genuine kind people. You can tell they truly put an effort in the work they do, they care about the couples they work with and creating something truly reflective of the individual story. The passion they have for what they do is very obvious and what anyone would want in someone who will be capturing their special day. I cannot recommend him and his team enough. Absolutely the best videographer a couple can find for their wedding day! Extremely high level of professionalism, very pleasant to work with, we had great connection with his team, they were very friendly and made us feel very relaxed. Kosta and his team went above and beyond during our wedding day and the next-day photoshoot.
