Dan did a great job DJ'ing our reception and providing music for our wedding. He is very detail oriented, but it really does ensure you'll have exactly the music you want played throughout the event. Our guests loved the music and we did too!

We decided to hire a DJ only month before our wedding and were so glad we found Disco Dan at Arrow Productions. He was very professional and is very good at what he does. He definitely seems to have mastered the way he handles pre-event planning. He is incredibly responsive and it was so easy to work with him via email and phone without having met him before the wedding. The music he played was perfect! He was also incredibly affordable and always looking for a way to give us a discount (ie cash payers, no set up fee for playing the same venue the night before). He was also very nice to our guests and they had lots of compliments about their interactions with him. However-if you want a dj to make lots of announcements-make sure to discuss this before as he is quite hesitant to do so. My MOH was quite upset after she asked if he could announce the appetizers were ready-he said "he didn't want to ruin the flow", I guess he gave this answer to several people after I'd requested them to ask the DJ to make an announcement. He does know what he's doing and may have been right-but this is something you may want to discuss before. The reason for the 1 star on flexibility is that my groom and I actually had a small fight at the wedding because of the DJ and his inability to go with the flow. Dan did politely asked me if I was ready for the garter/bouquet toss in 5 minutes, I saw my Groom across the room and said yes. In that short time while walking to my groom to let him know to be ready he disappeared (happens at wedings!) to smoke a cigar with his groomsmen-a tradition in his family. I let the dj know it would need to be just a another 5 minutes and he refused! I had to tell the groomsmen and Groom they had to come back and they honestly thought I was kidding because they had to toss out their expensive cigars! I asked the DJ to just play another song and he said no. Somehow he did anyway when the guys didn't appear-but it completely ruined the garter toss experience.
