Based in St. Petersburg, FL with lots of experience capturing weddings throughout Florida - our team creates beautiful wedding artistry from Tampa to Orlando, Daytona, West Palm Beach, Miami, The Keys, Naples and Sarasota. My name is Rodrigo and I am a professional wedding photographer with over 25 years' of professional photography experience. I started out my career as a staff photographer for the Associated Press working on humanitarian news stories throughout the Middle East and Africa as well as Eastern Europe. These experiences really gave me a diverse view point which has served me well shooting diverse and cultural weddings throughout the world.
I love fashion, film, music, literature and art and all of these interests influence my work deeply.
Travel is a also a special interest of mine and by now I have lived, worked in or visited over 45 countries.
My style of photography is a healthy mix of both editorial and photojournalism. I think you have to be able to do both well to shoot weddings. I like to create and craft beautiful images, but there's also a time to hang back and really just capture meaningful moments. I have a healthy number of publications that have published my bridal work including The New York Times, Destination Weddings, White Wedding Magazine, Brides and Exquisite Weddings to name a few.
I have called St. Petersburg home now since 2011 but still take commisions for desitination weddings - if you are planning one, I've probably been there ;)
When I'm not shooting weddings I'm either working on a passion project volunteering my skills for a good cause, enjoying the many awesome places throughout Tampa Bay or finding a new interest - like yoga!
