When we initially spoke with Michael about reserving the team for our wedding his response time was unbelievably fast, we had a quote and confirmed the wedding date and time within an hour! At first, my family thought it would be so ridiculous to hire them because we have never seen lion dancers at a wedding, but I thought it would be nice to incorporate something this flamboyant for our multi-cultural event since we were already doing the Tea Ceremony. We also kept it a surprise from our guests!

I could not believe my family's criticism: when the wedding day finally arrived and the troupe began performing my side of the family were the first to go up and dance with them and to hand them lai see (red envelopes)!

They were incredible and were extremely responsive on the day of -- especially since wedding days are crazy no matter how much you plan. I'm not sure if they scoped out the venue prior to coming, but they did jumps and leaps and every one of my guests couldn't stop talking about them! They were MY FAVORITE part of the wedding, and all of the guests thought so too!

Michael and his team truly Saved the Day with their presentation. We had an unfortunate cancellation from another group, and they referred us to the Ane Thanh Lion Dance Team!!! In under a week, they were able to accommodate their schedules to be at our WEDDING!
We had a BIG outdoor reception with nearly 300 people, and so opted to have 2 lions come out to our event. It was a total surprise to our guests, as they first heard the ominous drums beating in the distance, and then emerged the 2 Lions from Opposite sides of the poolside dining area. They did an awesome job of dancing and jumping, showing off phenomenal acrobatic movements, and the gong and cymbals added to the experience.
After several ceremonial acts (Peeling of tangerines, presentation of Lucky Scrolls), nad spending time among the crowd, they Honored my Bride and I and then headed off to go home... But we had forgotten one thing - the RED ENVELOPES!!! Luckily, my mom had a stack of these on her so we hurriedly rushed to fill them, and gave them to all the gathered children to feed to the Lions! This last point was the most poignant to me, and showed their true artistry... Up Close, the movements and mannerisms of the players were so playful and life-life, it truly appeared to me and the children, that we had a true Mystical Lion playing with us...
