I knew I wanted a "Made with Love" gown and they had several from that designer to try on. They are the only stockist near me and I Iive 2.5 hours from this boutique. I fell in love with my dress and my experience at An Elegant Affair. I had looked at two other shops prior to finding this one and had less than positive experiences, but they made up for it and were amazing to work with. I was also about 6 months pregnant when I started looking and they were great with helping me figure out when to actually start trying on dresses and the process after I had my daughter was seamless as they met every expectation. Turn around time on alterations was also fantastic. I look forward to returning my dress to them to be stored for our reception and then later on preserved. The girls at An Elegant Affair have been so wonderful to work with.

Highly recommend an Elegant Affair, where I purchased my dress and veil. They were patient with me and my indecisiveness and Katie was fabulous at narrowing down the styles I truly liked. She worked with me and my budget and helped me pick out the perfect dress, which I was able to get at a discount since I purchased it off the rack. I was also able to get my alterations done on site, which was very convenient. I loved supporting a local small business. Thank you, An Elegant Affair!

From the moment you walk in for your first appointment to the moment you walk out the door with your dress in hand, the women of An Elegant Affair are kind-hearted, patient, caring, respectful, and quickly become your best friends. When you arrive for your appointment, you & your guests can walk through the inventory and select the dresses that you’d like to try on! The bridal consultant assists you in trying on dresses, bridesmaids dresses, and tuxes! They have an in-house seamstress, Lisa, who works wonders and made my dream dress come to life.

I showed Jen & Emily the dress I’d envisioned and they worked their bridal magic to make me feel like the most beautiful woman on the planet on my wedding day. The dress, the tulle wings, the belt, the alterations, my husbands tux pieces. All perfection! Their patience and calmness was appreciated beyond words. I wish I could get married again so I could work with them again.

I had the BEST experience at An Elegant Affair! Liz (and the rest of the team) were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the whole process. I hadn't really gone dress shopping before, but they were so patient while I tried on a bunch of different styles before finding my perfect dress. I didn't feel rushed to make a decision and went back multiple times before making a final decision. I was specifically looking for a Made With Love dress and they are the only store in Iowa that carries that brand! They truly had the best selection of dresses I had seen in this area.
