I want to preface this by saying I am not a typical bride. I didn't have a dream wedding in mind and haven't been planning my wedding since I was a child.
So with that in mind, this is why I was drawn to Amy.
I searched for hours online, talked to multiple folks and then stumbled across her website, where finally I saw the vibe I was chasing. During our initial call, like all of the others I felt nervous that I wouldn't be able to convey what I wanted and how I wasn't really sure where to start, but she greeted me with kindness and warmth. I really felt at ease already from the phone call, so I felt like that was a good sign of what it would be like to work with her in person.
All I knew was I wanted a romantic elopement on Maui, with beautiful photos, a little bit of adventure and for all of the planning to be taken care of & packaged into one.
Amy did just that, and on top of that made us feel comfortable and at ease during our portrait session and our ceremony. She was gentle with her instruction and I really felt like I could trust her vision. I am a high anxiety, non traditional bride so this is really saying a lot.
She picked the perfect officiant (Joe Miles) and hair and makeup artists that were such a treat to work with. My wedding day was so relaxing, fun and magical and it is all because of her. The icing on the cake is having beautiful portraits that ignite the memories like it was yesterday. Sincerely, I feel transported back in time with each viewing.
I am so, so grateful that we met and that we got the exact elopement we didn't know we needed. Thank you! 5 Stars, 10/10, would elope with her again!

I CANNOT recommend Amy ENOUGH!! she was professional, fun, knowledgeable, and she knew exactly what to do. What to tell us to do. She captured the most tender moments between me and my husband. Not to mention that she got my portfolio back in a month! She went the extra mile to make sure we got the photos of our dreams! Do yourself a favor and pick Amy!

I don't know where to even begin! My husband and I wanted to elope but our families are just too opinionated so we couldn't do it without causing a fuss. Instead we decided to just go to Hawaii and semi-elope and anyone who wanted to join could come along but we did nothing formal and barely had a schedule. We wanted to get up on a Wednesday morning, go to the beach, get married and then go to brunch after. We really had no idea what we were doing or where to go but thankfully I'd found Amy's photos on Instagram. She was the only thing we booked ahead of time and it was blessing that we did. She sent us ideas for locations, got the location permit for us, explained how un complicated getting the marrige license would be to calm our nervea and then just stayed the most calming and helpful presence during the whole morning. It was incredibly windy so my husband and I kept laughing and she was so patient with us and so thoughtful with each shot that it looks like a perfect day as opposed to the sandy, windy, slightly damp morning that it was in reality. It was an unconventional day but that's what made it perfect for us and Amy was so wonderful and professional that I can't imagine what it would have been without her. We still talk about how it was such a perfect day for us because of all the craziness and it was honestly because of Amy that it was so perfectly imperfect. If you book anything for your day, make sure its Amy. She's just wonderful!

My husband and I eloped on Maui on July 4th on top of Haleakala in Maui at sunrise! We had only our officiant, Chrissy Kapoor, and the wonderful Amy Jayne as our witnesses. It was a real team effort! Amy met us around 3:30AM and we drove up to the summit at dawn. We spent about 30-45 minutes with Amy shooting images right before and then as the sun started to peak over the clouds. The sky was MAGICAL. No wind, and not even cold, it was the perfect day and perfect setting. Amy took charge and had us posing to bang out as many pics as we could considering the timeline with the sun rising. She did an amazing job capturing our emotions and raw natural photos in addition to everything we told her we wanted (ie, looking out at the sunrise, appearing on top of the clouds, with props, pulling over unexpectedly etc) - she even brought props of her own! We felt totally in sync with Amy and were SO glad we hired her.

Amy spent another hour with us, after the ceremony at Haleakala, and then also agreed to come to our hotel, the Wailea Beach Resort, right before sunset that same day so we could get beach and sunset photos as well. Which was SO nice of her to do, and atypical to shoot two locations like that. We couldn't have picked a better photographer or partner for our special day!! From the first conversation I could tell she was down to earth, flexible, friendly and very experienced. Especially considering we had an unusual location, at sunrise, and not your typical sunset beach shoot. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Amy, regardless of your location. Check out our photos!

Let me tell you what an amazing photographer Amy is! We live in Wyoming and we were going to Maui for our wedding on the beach and we needed to find a photographer. I was able to view Amy's galleries online and chat with her before deciding on booking her. She was very good at communicating and accommodating our requests. Everything went off without a hitch throughout the whole process! During our wedding and after shoots, Amy was able to create some truly amazing photos that we will cherish forever! She truly captures the beauty in every photo. All the photos were breathtaking and high-quality. Amy was amazing to work with! We had a hard time finding a photographer that is a true artist--vs someone that just takes pictures. Amy has such a beautiful eye for art and took amazing photos of our wedding. I would recommend her to anyone. She was very relaxed and stress free--and helped us relax as well. It's a big decision on selecting a wedding photographer, but we will have lasting memories of beautiful photos.

Amy is simply amazing. We booked her for our engagement session on Maui, and she was up for a jungle/waterfall adventure! She led us down the path and captured a lot of different poses and also put a lot of variety into the photos, setting us up with multiple different backgrounds within our hike (waterfall, bamboo forest, rocks, etc). What really sealed the deal for us is how easy she made it. We are both extremely awkward when posing for photos, since we are generally pretty private people and to us, showing our extreme love for each other in front of a stranger is difficult - but Amy sensed this and gave us amazing direction. She guided us with different poses, told us exactly where to stand when we had no idea, and gave us a lot of tips to make us look better in the photos (stand up straight, tilt a bit to the left, etc). We just found her really refreshing and she is worth every penny. She gave us a peek at some of the photos she took while we were out, and even without editing, her equipment and most importantly, her ability to capture natural light, are just 110% awesome. We booked her for our wedding too which will be on Maui in October 2018. :)
