With more than 100 gigs yearly, his company has remained profitable despite the tightening economy, steadily employing more than 15 local subcontractors; caterers, a florist, a bakery, photographers, videographers, classical musicians.
Subotich attributes his company’s 50% growth over the past 20 years to “finding my calling.”
Subotich began his career as a radio DJ on the Emerald Coast with stations including WNUE, 1400 am radio, 99 rock, Surf 98.1, Pensacola TK101 and Destin 102.1 The Wave for many years before getting discovered by national deejay company Sunset Entertainment, who was seeking a regional director. Subotich joined forces with them and recognized the perfect fit early on. Subotich explained, “I enjoy making my client’s vision come to life, creating wedding memories and assisting my clients with elegant, fun entertainment.”
Subotich is offering his own version of an employment stimulus package - he’s actively seeking more event planning coordinators to add to his Celebrations by the Sea team. The company recently sponsored “A Legendary Giveaway,” the online reality TV show offering one lucky couple the ultimate wedding package including products from local businesses Emerald Grand, Destin Jewelers, Simply Elegant, Confections on the Coast, Salon Twist, Spa 98, Pure 7 Studios and Florals by the Sea. Aside from his busy career, Subotich is active in leading area soccer organizations; the NWFL Soccer Association, Fort Walton Beach City Rec League, Destin Soccer League and takes on the occasional acting job, such as the recent national TV ad he did for Goodwin Asset Management Company. He has also been featured in various print ad campaigns, Lindberg Nutrition magazine, MTV Road Rules and as a Cox Communications spokesperson.

Not only did he provide beautiful music for my ceremony, DJ Zoran absolutely made my wedding reception the best I and the majority of my guests, had ever attended! So many people said it was the most lively and fun reception they have ever been apart of. He knew when to time everything and even suggested alternative song selections for parts of the reception where I selected a song that wasn't as fitting. He was SPOT ON with his suggestions and the entire wedding reception ran effortlessly. In addition, he is such a kind and professional person to work with and is very responsible and quick to respond. If you hire DJ Zoran to be your DJ, as others have mentioned in other reviews, you won't regret it. We sure didn't!!! :-)

Zoran was AMAZING! I was an out-of-town bride and clueless about the dj world. He was able to answer all of my questions! He provides you with his cell phone number and answered all of my calls and returned my messages right away. His online DJ planning program made picking our top songs a breeze and he was able to get the party going! He did great with taking the songs we requested and blending in selections of his own to fit our party's personality. We had such a blast dancing all night.

DJ Z was amazing. He did a fantastic job with the flow of our reception. He was very professional, confident and friendly. We gave him a list of songs we liked and didn't like and he took it from there. I would choose him again.
