Do NOT book!!!!!!!

I want to warn other brides so they don’t make the same mistake as me. Do NOT sign a contract with Amani na Uwazi Wedding Company!!!!!

If you would like more details I am happy to copy and paste the text I sent them (that they did not respond to) after my wedding outlining every one of their responsibilities they did not fulfill during my wedding. I was engaged for 21 months, so I could plan everything EXACTLY the way I wanted it. Unfortunately key details such as table decor (which I put into individual boxes & sent pictures to them of exactly what I wanted), my guest gifts, reserved seat signs, waters outside for the guests, our welcome sign, my floral decor, and my custom stir sticks I made all did not get properly put out at my wedding. A total of about $600 worth of things I spent hours crafting that none of my guests got to see. They brought 2 workers with them who sat outside my venue vaping all night in front of guests. I paid them to set up and clean up from the wedding and my mom and bridesmaids ended up being the ones to do both these things. Also, my Mom was cleaning up instead of having fun. The workers were sitting down on their phones WATCHING her clean up instead of doing their job. My mom had to ask them to help her before they got up. Furthermore, they lied to my Parents and told them the venue coordinator let them know the wedding had to be cut short because there was such much to clean up. My parents went to the venue coordinator to discover this in fact was a complete lie. The list of disservices goes on and on. I’m extremely upset because I (thought) I did my research and found someone to do everything I was looking for since a coordinator is the BIGGEST part of a day running smoothly. Please save yourself and do not make the same mistake I did.

My name is Jessica. I am a certified wedding planner/coordinator, ordained minister and photographer. I started this business with my wife to help make your special day everything it could possible be.

During our adventure of planning our wedding, I have lived experienced the stressfulness that doing the planning brings. I have also felt the tension that it can put on the relationship.

We have also felt the discrimination that comes with being a same sex couple. Our #1 goal in starting this business was to ensure that no couple ever has to feel discriminated against or that they don't deserve to have a happy ending.
