Alyssa was FANTASTIC! Her studio is gorgeous and so fun to have my hair and make-up trial at. She was super responsive to what I liked and what I wished to change, taking notes then following up with me right after the trial and then along the way up to the wedding. She even let some of my bridal party have trials which was super lovely of her. On the day, we had some schedule changes and Alyssa was super flexible, rolling with the changes, and making me so relaxed and at ease. I felt incredibly pampered on my wedding day, and my hair and makeup have NEVER looked that good. She is a true artist and helped me feel absolutely stunning on my special day.

I booked wedding hair and makeup for my bridal party and for me with Alyssa, and I had the BEST experience working with her. I was planning a Hartford wedding from out of town, and her website caught my eye - I loved her vibe immediately. Every step of the way, Alyssa made everything easy and made me so comfortable. The morning of the wedding, Alyssa did everyone’s hair and coordinated with another artist (shoutout to Sara Thompson), who did everyone’s makeup. Everyone looked INCREDIBLE, and I felt so beautiful. I recommend Alyssa 100% for her wonderful work and the awesome energy she brings.

There are so many moving parts to a wedding. So many decisions, and so many choices. But let me just take one decision off your plate. Alyssa is EVERYTHING you need on your wedding day. Her communication is outstanding. My contract was straight forward but informative (I love a contract because it feels safer). But truly I had not doubt I could rely on her. She reached out the week before and sent directions for hair prep for the ladies and I. She arrived at the hotel at the crack ass of dawn and was ready to go. My room was small and cramped but she didn’t skip a beat. She was positive and supportive but kept us on a schedule. She gave super helpful feedback to my mom whose hair does not hold a curl, and we had a very humid day. My mom ended up going with Alyssa’s suggestion and her hair looked amazing all night long! She was thrilled. When I tell you that Alyssa did not settle for anything less than perfection on my hair… this girl must have tried at least 2 or 3 different sized barrels for my curls to make sure they were just right. Did I mention she did 9 people’s hair that day? She did not even seem remotely stressed. 100000% would recommend Alyssa for your wedding day hair needs and I’m sure you’ll also love her salon if you go for a trial or a haircut/color.
