Although their hours weren't very flexible, and they didn't have a huge selection, the personal touch we got was really appreciated. They noticed that my engagement ring was too big (I lost 30 lbs. for the wedding) when we picked up our wedding bands, and resized it for free.

My experience with Altobello wasn't that great. We wanted to have a wedding band made to match my engagement ring and they said it would take 5 days to have a wax made. It took two weeks to get the wax back and the jeweler forgot to send back my engagement ring! When we looked at the wax and the ring the wax had no details on it at all and the sales people acted shocked that the jeweler missed all the details. They wanted to send the wax AND my ring back for 3 more days so that he could fix it. The jeweler apparently said his waxes never show details (how did the salespeople not know this??) and he wanted to keep my engagement ring while he made the wedding band. He said a week and it took two weeks again so by the time it was all said and done I did not have my engagement ring for four weeks. I'm sure any bride to be can commiserate how awful it is to not have your engagement ring! The band did not turn out matching exactly but it's fine and we like it.
One more thing that slightly bothered me was that for men's bands they sell either regular fit or the comfort fit which is rounded on the inside a little bit. The comfort fit runs slightly larger because it slides off your finger easier. When the salespeople sized my husbands finger they used the regular sizers when he was ordering a comfort fit band so when the ring came in it was huge. We had to size him down and re order a new one. Just seems like they should have known to size him with comfort fit sizers in the first place.
