Wow! Ahseia was so accommodating with my busy residency schedule. She made time to meet with me when I was in town for a super short trip, and did so between projects because we wouldn’t have time for an actual trial.

From the get go, her voice over the phone and tone through text and email was always understanding. You can tell she has done this for a long time. She was extremely easy to work with, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease because I don’t like being center of attention and makeup is all new to me.

I felt like it was just me and a girlfriend getting ready to go somewhere. I’ve never received so many compliments on both makeup and hair, and the best part was, it was a more polished version of me. She listens and when she knows something may not be the best option, she is completely honest with you. I love her professionalism and ability to nail down exactly what I envisioned but even better than I imagined.

Overall, I look back at my wedding and know I chose the right person. Experienced, professional, 5 star level of service and the sweetest and most humble person I’ve worked with in a long time.

We hired her as a makeup artist for our family members. Since our wedding was a traditional south Indian wedding we had to have our family members ready by 6:00 AM.
Ahseia was very accommodating and arrived @ 2:45 AM with her colleague and got our family members ready on time. She is really good at what she does and very friendly too.
She made our family members extremely comfortable and found their interest/liking within no time. She even provided suggestions for making their idea/vision even better.
Everyone was very happy and satisfied with their final look. With this experience Ahseia has now become our main make-up artist for any of our events.
We highly recommend her for any of your events!

Ahseia did an incredible job with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She knew exactly how to make me look like a glorified version of myself, uses great quality makeup and was knowledgeable about her craft. She is also really nice and super easy to work with. I would definitely recommend her and plan to use her services again in the future. She also provides styling (for south asian brides).

Ahseia did a fantastic job during my wedding day last week. She handled a group of 7 of us including myself (the bride), mom, and 5 bridesmaids. We're from a variety of ethnicities and skin types (Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Black, White), and Ahseia was able to make us all look beautiful! My bridesmaid who is Black was so impressed that Ahseia knew how to work with her dark complexion. My mom who has freckles looked flawless. Lots of compliments all around.

Ahseia was also very responsive to my feedback from the trial. If you're able to get onto her schedule, you will not be disappointed! She was worth every penny. I wish I could say the same about the hairstylist... Unlike the hairstylist who had a terrible personality, particularly on an important day like my wedding, Ahseia had such a positive attitude. I honestly can't thank her enough.

I was beyond happy with Ahseia and her work. She was the only make up artist I used for everything. She did my make up for my engagement shoot, my Henna party, Wedding and Reception. She was always early and prepared. She was so easy to work with as well as ridiculously talented! I never knew what colors or looks to go with so I left it all in her hands. She could take 1 look at my outfit and know the PERFECT colors and look. She kept me so relaxed. Because I knew how great her work is and that she only uses the best products I never had to worry about my makeup. Ahseia was great to work with!

Please do not go with Ahseia. There are better makeup artists in the city. We hired Ahseia for our daughter’s wedding. Initially when we signed the contract, I had reservations since she was not very responsive. But my daughter liked her and so we went with her for the Mehendi event for the bride the day before the wedding and for the bridal party on the day of the wedding. Things went wrong all the time with Ahseia.
1. On the Mehendi day, her assistant pulled the cord on my daughter’s brand new dress called Lehenga and broke the cord. Instead of trying to find solutions, Ahseia was on the defensive trying to blame the dress. The event was beginning shortly and we finally figured out a way to hold the dress up!
2. On the wedding day, we needed Ahseia to come an hour early. She quoted an exorbitant rate and then our nice wedding planner negotiated the price down.
3. She insisted on us paying for valet parking in spite of our paying transportation fees.
4. She did a terrible job with the makeup for the brides Sister, my older daughter. I had to intervene and ask her to fix it. Though better than before, it was not satisfactory at all. She did a very shoddy job with my makeup too - it was just too sad! My mom and siblings said I looked better if I did my own makeup- it was a waste of money.
5. Ahseia was very prompt in charging us and making sure that the money was paid in advance. This was fine and part of the contract. However she also accepted money by Venmo from many of my daughter’s bridal party though we had paid for them in advance. So it was double pay for her! When we contacted her about refunding the money, she said she needed to check before returning our money that was paid double. After few emails and phone calls, we finally got the extra money paid refunded. This was very unprofessional to accept the money twice from some of the girls. We can understand her accepting money for the additional services added on on the day of the wedding. But accepting double pay and not immediately refunding it to us was not the correct thing to do.

Thank goodness we went with Makiaj for the bride and not Ahseia on the wedding day. There was a world of difference in the hair and makeup and professionalism between the 2 vendors. Very disappointed overall with Ahseia.
