We knew from our first meeting that Afrik was unique and talented. He's detail-oriented, thoughtful, and has a dedication to his craft that is unmatched. From the beginning, Afrik worked to build a comfortable relationship with us, asking us about our relationship, things we love about ourselves, and what we were looking for from his photo coverage. He checked in with us throughout the process and had an established relationship with our planner that made so much of the process seamless. He did a confidence/getting-to-know-you shoot with us that helped us spend some time with him, get to know him, and understand how to be comfortable in front of the camera on our wedding day. He came on wedding day full of energy and spark. He and his assistant truly made the entire experience fun and light-hearted. They helped me maneuver in my dress and found great spots for photos. And once the day kicked off, they moved through the crowd, seamlessly catching moment after moment. We loved every second of working with Afrik and cannot recommend him enough. He will be your number one hype person all day - and, for us, a true friend as well

We knew we needed Afrik immediately after our initial call with him. He was so fun to talk to and genuinely interested in our love story and wedding, and we knew we'd feel comfortable with him. Though we were initially crushed to hear that another couple had him on hold on our date ended up taking him, he went out of his way to make an arrangement where he still did our engagement/confidence shoot IN ITALY with us and edited our wedding day photos even though he couldn't be there. He even went to our venue with his backup photographer the week of the wedding to scope out shots which we didn't expect him to do. His photography speaks for itself and we LOVE our photos so much! He is truly the best!

Afrik is hands down the best wedding photographer I have ever worked with. From the very beginning, he takes the time to get to know you as a couple and begins to understand your style, likes and dislikes, and personalities to make sure that his photographs truly encapsulate the two of you as a couple. We were able to schedule a confidence session with him 10 months before our wedding to take some engagement shots and really start to feel comfortable in front of the camera. It made all of the difference on the wedding day! The weekend of the wedding Afrik and his team went above and beyond to make sure that each moment whether between my husband and me, or the emotions and joy of the guests in attendance, was captured. His photos tell the story of our wedding weekend and we could not be happier with the results. Not only did we come out of this experience with the best photographs imaginable, but we also gained a lifelong friend!

In addition to being the most incredible photographers I have worked with, Afrik is one of the best humans I have ever met. He shot our Fall wedding in 2022. Prior to our wedding, we got to know him via FaceTime, our “confidence sessions” (engagement shoot), and through various calls. It’s clear he puts a lot of love and effort into each couple he works with because he really took the time to get to know us! His energy is amazing and made us feel extremely at ease (and laugh) throughout our wedding day. Our wedding pictures are so much more than we could ever imagine and capture my husband and I’d personality perfectly. Outside of the wedding, we have got to know Afrik as a friend and we absolutely adore him. He is by far one of the best vendors we hired for our day.

Before my husband and I even started planning, I knew we had to work with Afrik for the wedding. I had worked with him before and absolutely loved my experience!

During the wedding, Afrik made everyone feel comfortable, look glamorous, and feel at ease in front of the camera. Everyone tells us our pictures look like they belong in a magazine! We are beyond pleased with how our pictures came out. This was a 10/10 experience and I would definitely recommend!!!! Afrik is absolutely AMAZING: both as a photographer and as a person. I found Afrik through instagram, admiring his photography style and I am SO thankful that I did! Not only is he so incredibly talented, but I want to be his friend! He really cared about getting to know my husband and I leading up to our wedding day. He took our engagement photos, which he calls a “confidence session” and they really were just that! Afrik gave us so many tips and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera that we were wedding day ready! On our wedding day, Afrik was so fun to hangout with all day, our sneak peeks are to die for (so we cannot wait to see all of our photos!), and Afrik made us feel so comfortable and have so much fun in front of the camera. I had 250 person weekend wedding in upstate New York, and of all the vendors we used, Afrik was by far my favorite! He has a way with color that is just stunning and he has a great eye, particularly for our venue, Cedar Lakes Estates. But beyond his photos, he is just a joy of a human to be around while getting married. 10/10

We had a great experience working with Afrik and his team. My husband and I first took engagement pictures with him then also worked with him for our wedding a few weeks ago.
