Perfect! Delicious! Creative! A Joy!

Mike and his staff did a great job creating a menu, delivering high-quality food and excellent service. They made it easy to be a bride at my reception - handled all the details and even some of my difficult guests. Mike worked with me to create a menu within my budget and then completely over delivered.

While Mike of a Moveable Feast may be tricky to get a hold of, he is an absolute food genius and wonderful, fun person. A true character and an amazing chef. My now-husband and I are so incredibly incredibly happy we went with him for catering our wedding. Our guests have not stopped talking about how amazing all the food was - from the raw bar (complete with oyster shucking and traditional plus really interesting and delicious non-traditional accoutrements), to the dozens of truly special passed hors d'oeuvres (steak tar tar with tarragon ice cream!?), to the main dinner courses to the after dinner strawberries and passed desserts... Because he assess what is good/fresh/best based on local farms and farmers markets in the days before the wedding, there isn't a set menu in advance, which was absolutely fine with us. Especially after meeting Mike in person during a trip he happened to make to NY before our wedding (he came and met us at our local coffee shop - such a sweetheart) and after my parents and their friends patronized his weekly restaurant at the Cachagua General Store, we had complete confidence and trust in his philosophy, skills and taste. We were not disappointed! Not only did he create a defining culinary experience, but he and his staff made sure that we, the bride and groom, got to taste everything that was being served and even made sure we had champagne. Mike also saved the day by personally tying my groom's bow tie after no one else (even with youtube and printed instructions) could get it done!
