We hired a2zdj to provide music and emcee our wedding recently. Immediately after signing a contract with Adam he provided me with a link and access to his planning site. This helped me better understand what I needed to think about as I moved through the planning of the reception. Two weeks before our wedding I met with Adam's business partner, Bob, to go over my selections and help guide me toward completing the outstanding choices I still had to make. He was patient and helpful through this process.

Yes, this is a family owned business. Yes, they are just a two man team. However both Adam and Bob took the time to understand what I wanted and help me make the best choices possible to achieve a super fun evening.

a2zdj was a horrible choice for a wedding reception DJ. This is a father-son team that will not listen to anything you have to say. We met a few weeks before and went over the types of music we wanted played and music to avoid and we stressed that we wanted a modest volume level. Bob assured us that this would be no problem. Apparently he didn't think to pass on our requests to his son.
When the wedding night arrived, they played EVERYTHING that we asked them NOT to play and very little of what we wanted to hear. We did not hand them a set of songs to play (although we should have), just types of music and time periods and they failed to listen. To top it off, Adam brought his girlfriend (an extra person we hadn't told the caterer about) and just chatted with her the whole night, paying no attention at all to his job. Throughout the night the few people on the dance floor moved farther and farther away from the dj booth due to the ear shattering volume - it was a total nightmare. Several requests for a lower volume level went unheeded.
If you want ear shattering volume levels, no one on the dance floor, the most overplayed and hokey dance songs, and a dj who will only be paying attention to his girlfriend, then a2zdj is exactly what your looking for.
