Terrible experience!!
My experience was awful!! From the start, Ross had TERRIBLE communication with me. They were so quick to collect my deposit, but didn't follow-up with communication on how things will be arranged. In my contract it did state that if there was going to be any changes a replacement band would come to the wedding, BUT I wasn't warned that there would be another quartet performing at my wedding. During my wedding, the quartet sat behind my guest (in a hidden corner) at the wedding when we had specifically told them that they would be playing for the guest. I don't mean to be blunt, but I don't think anyone goes to a symphony and has the performers sit behind the audience... I had paid almost $2K having the quartet sit in a distant corner... which I could've easily just used our DJ to play classical music... These were some highlights on the unprofessional communication I had with Ross,
1). I had tried to coordinate phone meetings with him multiple times, but I had no reply. I needed to talk to him about the song list and didn't hear back from him at all. Finally I was able to get a hold of Ross and he scheduled a virtual meeting, but he didn't even show up to the meeting...
2). I had even asked to reschedule the meeting and I didn't even hear back...
3). A week later I called, left a voice message, text message and email telling him that I've been trying to call and email to make a final payment and I would like to know how I can get a hold of him to go over details and I didn't hear anything... (I even screen shot our text message)
4). Finally I went into my contract, found his payment info and sent him a venmo payment... I texted a screenshot to show him I held and honored my contract with him and had paid him fully even before the wedding. Wow, he finally texted back and said he received the payment ... What was frustrating about this whole process is that I felt like there was a severe lack of customer service.
When I needed to make sure things on the back end were planned well, there was no one to speak to and also it was a huge surprise that there was a replacement band that showed up to the wedding. Due to the lack of communication, it caused a lot of anxieties. When the quartet showed up-they didn't even play for the guest... the quartet just seated themselves where-ever was convenient for themselves, they just hid in a corner... I strongly believe that having a live quartet is a special addition to a wedding, but the quartet that performed at my wedding didn't perform with decency. Again, this is my experience with 5280 Quartet: a severe lack of miscommunication, unexpected changes to the actual 5280 quartet, and a lot of headaches trying to get a hold of Ross.
