This estate invites you in with towering oaks, marble fireplaces, and abundant chandeliers. Our location is secluded enough to transport you to another time, but also just minutes from downtown Athens, Five Points, and the University of Georgia. With both indoor and outdoor space, the Hardeman-Sams property is the perfect canvas to host any event year-round.
Facilities and Capacity
255 Milledge Hardeman-Sams House can accommodate up to 200 guests over its multiple event spaces. The venue's private garden is ideal for a lush outdoor ceremony space. Their outdoor space includes a private southern garden, grassy lawn, and stone courtyard. If you're having a large affair, the landscaped lawn or the historical garden is the perfect location. For more intimate weddings, the historical manor can accommodate 100 guests seated or 200 guests for a cocktail reception.

History
In 1910, Benjamin Frank Hardeman built this estate on Milledge Avenue with his wife, Annie. They were known for throwing some of the largest and most elegant parties in all of Northeast Georgia. In 1932, the property was sold to Walter A. Sams, president of the Athens Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

Dream Wedding
The Knot, wedding website, provided ideas to help in the vision and invitations. Jackson and June, event planner, worked with Kristi and Billy at least once a month, then week, then day, to be the go between person for all of the other vendors. This includes the florist, photographer, Epling Events, the caterer, and Five Points Beverage Store. I apologize if I have left anyone forgotten.
If you are looking for a venue with a beautiful, natural setting, and professional guidance to provide the "wedding of their dreams", it would be wise to check out 255 Milledge in Athens, Ga. You will also be able to enjoy the wedding without stress. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Kim and Bonnie on a shoot at 255 Milledge and let me tell you, these two ladies are awesome! Super professional and sweet and the venue is absolutely stunning! From the historical house to the beautiful garden and grounds! The photographer was able to amazing shots both indoors and out! If I had the opportunity to redo my wedding, I would have chosen this charming venue! Thank you again for everything ladies!
