I wanted an outside wedding and this location was perfect. We were able to rent a big white tent and have the reception underneath. They also had a cute grassy area that over looked the harbor where we set up white chairs for the ceremony. The food was amazing and they allowed us to bring in our own alcohol which was a huge money saver! They also have a really great 17 hole which is an island hole on the golf course where we went with just our photographer to take pics...it was awesome at sunset!

The parking was great as well-and we didnt have a problem with the heat or bugs. The coordinator also helped organize renting the chairs, linens, and air fans. Our price included everything except the awning tent for the walk way (incase of rain) and the air fans were extra.

One downside is that there is no place to get ready since the club house is public. But we stayed in the hotels near by and I had everyone in the bridal party ready and dressed so that I was the only one using the bathroom to change in my dress. The facilities were really nice though. They also had outside seating by a fire pit and up on the porch with rockers incase people wanted fresh air or for older people to get away from the noise for a while.

I was referred to Gene Ho photography by a friend in my MBA course in Charlotte, NC. She had used them for her second wedding and loved them. I emailed the website and Nadean called me back in less then 24 hours. We talked about the packages and what they offered-but what I liked the best was that they allowed me to customize what I wanted (ie I didnt want a bunch of 4x6 prints rather a cd with all the prints and the right to copy if need be). Nadean was so great to work with-she came to Charlotte for the engagement pictures, came early to Charleston where the wedding was to do Bridal shots, and we had the wedding a few days later. She has become a really good friend and I have made her my official family photographer. Gene Ho is a wonderful company to work with and they do exceptional work for the money!!!!

If you have a basic flower order this vendor is perfect! I used calla lillies and very simple arrangements for my center pieces, and groomsmen. They were fun to work with and have a cute shop in Isle of Palms, SC. The lady was really nice and worked well with other vendors the day of wedding. I was also grateful that they worked with me to match the colors I wanted and the ribbons I liked. The flowers were beautiful and healthy too!

This cake was by far the best cake I have ever had! I literally had to pull my dad and groom away from the cake tasting table because they were going to start licking up the crumbs. We didnt even save the top of our cake bc I want her to make a small version for our one year aniv so it is fresh. We did 3 layers-marble with italian buttercream filling, chocolate pound cake (may fav) with cream cheese filling, and almond pound cake with no filling. The entire cake was covered with american buttercream. The whole cake was gone before the ceremony ended and our guests raved about it.

What I liked besides the taste was that she allowed me to customize the design-Tammy can work with any idea that you have and it turns out great.

I found my dress while shopping with family in Utah, but live in Gastonia. Poffie Girls was the only vendor that carried Maggie Sotero dresses and they were great to work with on the price. The alterations were great too but very minimal. I just felt like I was not treated very nicely sometimes and that they had other important people to attend to when I was there. I would recommend them to anyone bc they have a great selection but it is hit or miss on the customer service end of it all.
