The Grandview was the PERFECT venue for our wedding reception in September of '09. People are still raving to me about our reception and I have the feeling the praise will keep coming for years! The river view is breathtaking. The food was amazing. The service was excellent (thanks to JD, our Maitre d'). Our custom wedding cake was beautiful and tasted delish! From the cocktail hour to the cake cutting, The Grandview handled every aspect of our wedding in grand style. These people really know what they're doing. If you want the best in the New York/Hudson Valley area, The Grandview is the place for you. The only reason I rated them a 3.5 for Flexibility is that they have their standard wedding package and there really isn't much room for wiggle or substitutions. Our custom cake ended up being an additional $250. Black linens for the tables were an additional cost, etc. You get one free tasting event as a bride and groom and if you wanted to attend additional tastings, you had to pay an additional $60 pp. When you're spending close to $30,000 at a catering facility for your event, you should be able to attend multiple tastings for free. Overall though, with everything that is included in your wedding package (including 5 free rooms at the Poughkeepsie Grand for the night of the wedding and a complimentary shuttle back and forth between the hotel and The Grandview for the duration of the reception), you really are getting a great deal for your money. I would recommend this place hands-down to anyone!

Great photograhpy company. Very organized. Great pictures. Only downside is, our photgrapher managed to not have any pictures of just our flower arrangements out of 1600 total images from the wedding... a little disappointing. Overall though, the pictures we do have are wonderful. Owning the digital negatives and rights to all of our pictures from the day is definitely a great aspect of dealing with this company. I would recommend them to anyone, just make sure you make a list of must-have photos and talk about them with your photographer ahead of time, or important shots could get lost in the hustle and bustle of the day.

My wedding invitations were perfect. We went with the Parisian style invites with white vellum on black cardstock, and black lined inner envelopes. The assembly went well with just a few girlfriends and more than a few glasses of wine. :) Great quality and great value! I am still receiving compliments on how elegant these invitations were. Do yourself a favor and just pay to have all of the return addresses pre-printed by the company. It's really inexpensive and will save you some writer's cramp!

Settembre Limousine really is the best limousine company I have ever dealt with. They were on-time, professional, and very personable at the same time. Tony and Chris were great to deal with during the booking process and they even helped us out a little with the cost of our package since the time block that we needed the cars for didn't fit their standard package time block of 3 hours. We used the Princess Rolls Royce and two white Chrysler 300 limos - all were in immacculate condition and stocked with champagne and drinks for our guests. When my husband and I approached the Rolls Royce after leaving the church, there was literally a red carpet rolled up to the door of the Rolls and an iced bucket of champagne waiting at the curb. As soon as our driver saw us, he popped the cork and poured our drinks (into real glass champagne glasses - I hate plastic stemware!). I felt like we were movie-stars and that moment couldn't have been more perfect! :) I would use Settembre again for anything and would recommend them to any of my friends and family. Reasonable prices, impeccable execution, and great service - what more could you ask for?

I was a very organized bride and carefully planned pretty much every detail of my ceremony and wedding day prior to working with Karin. Since I had pretty much already ironed out all of the wedding day details, Karin was really there to provide peace of mind so that I didn't have to worry about people asking me logistical questions on the day of the wedding. Karin and her assistant Veronica did a great job in coordinating the wedding rehearsal and the ceremony - telling people what to do and where to stand, etc. She was very easy to work with and extremely enthusiastic. Everything seemed to go smoothly and Karin and her assistant even provided my husband and I with a special surprise in our honeymoon suite on our wedding night that was very special. Of course, every wedding day has its glitches, but Karin handled everything well and the day was a complete success!
