When to use my bubbles?

MrsT, on February 25, 2014 at 9:04 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I just bough a bunch of them and I realized I'm not sure if we should be using them when we leave the reception or when we walk back down the aisle after the ceremony? What is everyone else doing with their bubble/confetti/sparklers/rice etc.? What would you prefer as a guest?

Depends on when your reception ends. The sparklers will show up really well at night time, but maybe not as well in the day. Bubbles will show up in the day, but not as well in the night unless it is well lit.

Also, are you planning on having a big send off at the end of the night? If not, it would make more sense to have your bubbles done after the ceremony or during the kiss.

As a guest I wouldn't care. As the bride, I wouldn't want that sticky crap on me and my dress unless the party was all over and I'm leaving

It is to my understanding most do it when you come out of the church, it's like throwing rice accept you can't do that anymore so you blow bubbles or throw birdseed!

I'm doing bubbles as we walk back down the aisle and sparklers for our exit. I've done bubbles as an exit before and it worked just fine, or you can put bubbles on the chairs at the ceremony and that works too. If you're not having anything else for your exit I'd use the bubbles then, when you walk down the aisle people can just clap, it's more interesting to have something when you leave the reception. Here's a cool picture of the bubbles at night.

I'm doing bubbles for when we are walking back down the aisle. We aren't really having a "Grand Exit" after the reception as we are all staying at the venue. So I am going to have our venue place these bubbles on each chair. The card says: "As we walk down the aisle as husband and wife, please blow these bubbles as we begin our new life!" Then it has our names and wedding date. I used the free business card sale from Vista Print and attached it to the bubbles with ribbon (we have a tropical theme with pink/fuchsia and orange as our colors).

I'd like to use bubbles too, I was thinking of doing it during the walk back down the aisle but wasn't sure if it would be too quiet while everyone is blowing their bubbles! Opinions? Did this work well for you?

Hi! Did this work for you? We were thinking that we would put the bubbles on the end chair aisle only. That way people are still clapping too. Plus not everyone will blow bubbles even if you give them bubbles...

Hi! I think it worked pretty well! Our aisle was short or it probably would have been better, but I have 1 photo of us walking back with bubbles in the photo and I know people were still cheering. I really wanted them, but I could see where they could easily be cut if you even a little unsure!
