Peacock wedding decor??

Olivia, on September 7, 2011 at 9:29 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17

So I am having a peacock themed wedding... AND I NEED HELP! I want it to be very simple and elegant. The bouquets are a few calla lilies with a peacock and the cupcakes have edible feathers sticking out and the rest of the wedding is just turquoise and navy... I don't have anything for the tables (they're long) except a runner, different height cylinder vases scattered along the runner, with floating candles... I know it's missing something. Help??

You can place a centerpiece with peacock theme on the tables in stead of cylinder vase...something like this...

You can use indigo, teal, aqua, olive, gold, copper, and bronze color sash with your table decoration........or do something creative with some peacock feather....like....you can put some peacock feather in your vase also....

The link didn't paste the way I wanted it to! Go to pinterest.com and put peacock wedding in the search engine at the top of the page. Some beautiful ideas came up!

I am also doing a simple peacock theme, my colors are purple, black, ivory, and orange here are some of my decorations. The first picture is the table numbers, the second picture is the place cards with alternating colors of purple and orange peacock stamps, the third picture is a tall vase with a peacock inside of it with purple flowers on top with crystals hanging and black feather around the top for half of the tables.

The other half of the tables will have the first picture of orange flowers floating in the water crystal things with the round lace with peacocks underneath that. Hope this gives you some inspiration!

I already have the vases so it's a little tough to just not use them lol. I don't have the floating candles so I can probably put feathers in the vases. but wouldn't that look awkward?? just a bunch of vases with feathers in them??

Here's a picture of vases not sure how tall or short yours are but with the peacock feathers out and I think it looks pretty or you can do a combination of flowers and peacocks out of the vases.

Im having a peacock themed wedding too!!!! Here are a few pics of what I've got going on so far. Also, check out weddinglinensdirect.com

for table linens. we're using Jade, Eggplant, Clover, and Turquoise. We will have an eggplant tablecloth, jade (which is similar to teal) as our runners, then we're going to alternate the chair sashes and napkins between each color. We're getting married in a country bar (Prospector's Grille & Saloon in Mt. Laurel) and the ONLY thing we're decorating is the head table. Everyone will have the multi colored napkins and a centerpiece but they have these EXCELLENT wood (finished) tables that we dont want to cover up. My MOH is wearing Jade, 2 of my BMs are wearing all eggplant and 2 are wearing eggplant with clover colored sashes then my FG is wearing an ivory dress (to match me) with a clover accent top and clover flowers down the one side.

I love the bouquets... they really remind me of a peacock with all the bright colors and I love how you managed to do an all calla lilly bouquet. Usually I think they're awful when it's nothing but the callas but yours are REALLY beautiful!!!

Thanks! I got ALL of my flowers at silkflowersfactory.com (paid $115 including shipping & tax) and the peacock feathers came from save-on-crafts.com (I paid $35 for 100!!) I actually decided to change some things around too, Im going to make the centerpieces match our bouquets and add some peacock feathers to them as well. I just figured that with having the darker colors in the dresses, I wanted the bouquets to be bright and fun and the same goes with the tables, they are a dark finished wood (cherry finish, I think?) so they should have some bright in them as well. They're not huge tables and there will only be 4-5 ppl/ table so my centerpieces wont be huge but they should still be colorful. AND the callas go WONDERFULLY with the peacock feathers! If you need help finding anything let me know. Im still in the process of searching too so I dont mind lending you a hand!
