Jeep Ideas that aren't tacky — Any suggestions?!?

Cindy, on March 27, 2010 at 6:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Ok. So my FH likes Jeeps. I'm cool with getting photos in the jeep. I even thought about making the table names Jeep models. Any other ideas that I can add to my fall themed wedding that will satisfy his need to have jeeps incorporated without getting tacky! Ugh. Please help!

Have a jeep driving up the side of your cake or have a grooms cake that's a flipped over jeep in a mud pit.

Haha. Kshively. I like the flipped over jeep Smiley smile I offered the grooms cake idea. He doesn't want to spend the extra money. I mean I love that he's a jeep guy and all...but I'm trying to keep the wedding classy Smiley smile

Oh I also got him jeep cufflinks! Smiley smile

Those are AWWWWESOME!! well, have the toy jeep drive up the back side of your cake. Maybe have the baker roll the tires through brown icing and have them drive it up the back so it looks awesome, like it was just out mudding. I'm sorry this is the only idea I really have. With using Jeep models as table names you're only going to have a few names. Wrangler, Rubicon, Liberty, Grand Cherokee, Willie's, Compass. HEY!! If you're having a bar and signature drink why don't you call it a jeep name. Like a Wet Willie.

Does he drive a jeep? Can you use it for your entrance and/or exit?

Kshively - I do like the subtly of it just sneaking up the back of the cake. That way I still get the elegant cake and he can have the silly laugh! Smiley smile good idea. As far as the names...without sounding nerdy there are plenty of names. "CJs, TJs...."

FTE- We are doing that. But that is just not enough for my hardcore jeepin boy Smiley winking haha.

I had to turn to my awesome WW ladies for ideas to help me out of this one and to keep the peace! haha. You guys rock!

Okay, nerdy no but you sound like a Jeepster yourself. Maybe during your entrance/ exit he could go through some mud and do some macho jeepy things in it? I'll keep thinking on this and I'll PM you if I come up with anything. (I dated LOTS of guys into Jeeps and I had one myself so I understand. My FH is a F-250 super duty driving deer hunter so I'm looking into a peanut butter & jelly grooms cake made to look like a deer and or a truck. PB&J beause when I don't cook, that's what he makes himself for dinner. lol)

Hilarious Kshively. Smiley smile Thanks! It's funny how sometimes you can come up with ideas for others easier than for yourself. Thats why this site is great!

Is anyone else trying to incorporate a Jeep into their wedding? We love rock crawling and off roading and would love any suggestions.

    Hey Lori,
We actually ended up doing a cake with a jeep for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Also I got my husband jeep cufflinks for his tux and I had a jeep charm on my garder. We also got awesome pictures by the jeep and got to drive off in the jeep. I think if you have a bunch of jeep friends it would be awesome to have a jeep parade for your exit, but my husband didnt have to many other friends there with jeeps. Best of luck!
