Fruit display for reception

Mrs.SoonToBeW., on August 12, 2012 at 2:17 AM Posted in Planning 0 21

Anyone have any cute fruit displays, I dont want the fruit where guest can pick up indivdiual pieces, I want them in like a cup or something, real decorative and creative. Any pictures and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not cups, but a local restaurant does a "palm tree" with the trunk studded with fruit on picks.

Can you get cups in your colors or theme?

Why not like cut them up and put in pretty glasses? Or use cookie cutters.

What about fruit kabobs? They can be really cute and easy for guests to grab and eat. They also make a colourful display.

Or depending on the type of fruit I have seen little baskets filled with mixed berries, also really cute but the baskets could get a little pricey.

I know, this isn't fruit in cups or containers, but I loved the display.

StephanieRenee, how many guests will be at the reception? The reason I ask, if you have a lot of guests, cups of fruit will take up a lot of room on a table. Hopefully this link works. It shows some fruit cups.

Do you mean fruit already mixed in a cup for them to pick up and walk away with or fruits displayed in cups?

Here are a few i found. The non plastic cup could just be put into a cup instead of the edible bowl

Yes, before guests enter the banquet area, outside in the hall there will be fruits for guests to eat on while they are mingling around and waiting to enter the reception area. I really like the 2nd pic Sohie
