Do your rings sit flush?

I'm toying with the idea of buying a wedding band that isn't made to fit my engagement ring perfectly. All the ones that I like that will sit flush are $1000 and up. I found one that is pretty nice at JCP for $600. To stop it from rubbing and scrapping I was thinking of having the bottoms melded...

Is anyone else doing this or are you buying a ring that is designed to fit your engagement ring?

Mine don't sit quite flush, but you can't tell unless you're inspecting it closely. I have a band on either side of ering and I've been debating with myself long and hard about having them soldered together.

Originally I had a solitaire with a trellis setting and couldn't find a band that would sit flush against it so I traded up and got a ring I love and had them put the diamond in it. When I tried it on in the store it sat perfectly flush but I had them pput a larger center stone in from my solitaire and now there's a slight gap but I also think it's bit big so I'm taking it back in to see if it's the diamond being to large or if it's that the ring is a bit big on me or maybe what Hayley suggested and have the prong sat up higher cause it'driving me crazy and that's the whole reason I got another ring in the first place.

Miy ring sort of sits flush, but when you see my ring, it's kind of hard to tell the difference. First pic is my set together (they didn't come together), 2nd pic is the e-ring by itself and the 3rd is the band by itself.

We bought mine as a set. I didn't like the ones that didn't sit flush. I think its goofy looking. But that's just me. I'm sure getting them welded together wouldn't look bad but if something happened to one or the other you couldn't wear either while it was getting fixed. Just a little something to think about.
