Hello! Can anybody give me some ideas for displaying photos of my fiance and I as kids? I was thinking maybe on the tables but I'd love some other ideas. Thanks!

Personally we are going to make a slideshow of each of us growing up, then pictures throughout our relationship to play at the beginning of the reception. Also, we have a digital photo frame that we are going to set up on the guest book table.

I'm thinking of draping an empty wall at my venue with sheer fabric and then hanging ribbon strips and pinning different pics all over that wall. i'm also going to have index cards and pens so ppl can leave us notes and pin them up as well.

I'm working on a photo montage for my sister's wedding. Our entertainment company is bringing a 52" plasma flat screen to play it on, but we could do it on a traditional pull down screen that the hall has.

My suggestion is if you do something of this nature, & you have digital photos & a computer that is running on vista-there is a program you can use that makes it super easy! It does all the work for you. You just drag & drop the photos, chose the way they change (blurs, stars, slide ins, etc.) & poof your done.

When you open a photo using Windows Photo Gallery it has an option at the top to "make a movie" - then on the right pane of the window it has options to "import media" "effects" "transitions" & "titles and credits."

After you play with it a bit it's just a matter of drag and drop. It's so easy!! If you decide to do something like this and need any help or tips just let me know!

Congratulations & good luck!!! I'm sure you'll have fun with all the of the pictures!!

Try an eight to forty page personalized magazine specifically customized just for the two of you to highlight all the special moments of your relationship. It's a real professional magazine, not own of those fake magazine cover templates. I’m not trying to be rude or sell you or anything but this is the most unique way for a couple to display their photos at their wedding. Your magazine will also include professionally written articles. Typically the magazines are 40%-50% text and 60%-50% photos. Take a look here for more info. http://yourmagnow.com/weddings.htm I hope this helps you out.

I guess it depends on the type of venue you're going to have, but we're getting married at my family cottage so we're going to be hanging photos from a clothes line type wire and attach them with clothes pins to fit with the casual feel.

But if you're going for something more formal, I like the idea of having various antique frames on each table. I find slideshows much too impersonal, and this way, your guests can walk around the room and look at the photos on the other tables instead of being glued to their chairs watching a boring slideshow.

My fiance's cousin actually did a slide show at the rehearsal dinner with a little back story, and finding pictures that matched, ie both in swimsuits, both hanging out with the family dog. Then had the same show playing on a monitor at the reception next to the guest book.

Our photographer showed us a program that one bride he'd worked for had made for her ceremony and reception. It had a black and white photo of each member of the bridal party when they were young. The black and white photos had a really nostalgic look to them. It was really sweet.

Someone mentioned "if you had 10 tables, you'd only get to age 10.." Well, who says you have to do EVERY age? You can do random ones - only the ones you have good photos for. Good means funny ones, memorable ones, or whatever you would like to go for! I think that's a really cute idea. I'm gonna talk about that with my fiance! Good luck with your wedding planning!

I had a couple that went to a company called Corkscrews. They made and bottled wine, and the wine labels featured a collection of images from their engagement session. It was a really unique way to display images, as the bottles were on every table.
